Alex felt the world crashing down on her. She said she was fine, she told Wanda and the doctors she was fine, but in reality, she couldn't be farther from it.

Alex ran a hand through her hair, leaning against the bathroom door. She dug her nails into her scalp, tears streaming down her face. She was having a panic attack.

The upbeat sound of Welcome to New York started to play on Alex's phone. She slammed it against the ground, hoping the sound would stop. Instead, it played a second time through.

"How'd it go?" The voice immediately said through the phone as she answered it. Muffled crying sounded on the other side. "Al, what happened?"

Alex banged her head against the wall several times, muffling a scream. "I lost the babies! James, I was having twins and they're both dead, and I-"

"I'm on my way over now." Bucky didn't have to hear it twice. The news upset him too, being he wouldn't get to be the godfather Alex said he would get to be, but his priority was making sure that she was okay. "Stay where you are."

"No! Don't!" Alex tried to calm herself down. "I'm going with Wanda to the house we started building. It's fine, I'll call you after."

Bucky paused in the middle of slipping his jacket on, holding his phone to his ear. "Where is Wanda? Is she with you?"

Alex sniffled and rubbed under her nose. "She stepped out to get some air. She'll be back any second now."

Bucky sighed and slipped his jacket back off, hanging it on its hook. He looked over at Sam, who had been listening in to the whole conversation, and shook his head. "Okay, seven. Your place. Don't be late or I'll break down your door."

Alex half laughed and half cried. She knew he was being serious, but she wanted everything said in the past two hours to be a joke. "Seven, okay. I'll see you at seven."

"We're here," Wanda announced as they walked toward the property of their house. It was big, just like they had expected, but it wasn't finished. Only the outline had been started before the blip.

"Let's go take a look," Alex whispered, stepping through what would have been their front door. She spun in a circle, looking at every grain of dirt that would make up their floor. "We can still make it happen, even without them."

Wanda shook her head and pulled out a little piece of paper. Vision had helped them design the house from scratch. 'A place to grow old in' Vision had written, putting a heart around his words. It was supposed to be hers and Alex's, but it was also supposed to be his safe place.

"It won't be the same," Wanda whispered back, tears beginning to stream down her face. She had acted like she wasn't affected by the miscarriage, but in all reality, she was screaming at herself. It was her fault. She shouldn't have let Alex get on that battlefield by herself. "Not without Vis."

Alex's eyes averted to the ground. She was gonna start crying again if she didn't say something else. "Look at this place, Wanda! It's still possible! We can keep trying!"

"Stop acting like everything's fine!" Wanda screamed at Alex, collapsing onto her knees.

Alex walked beside her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Wanda, this is our home. We can't give up on it now."

"I already have."

Wanda's words hit Alex like a train wreck as everything Wanda had been feeling came out of her. The sadness, her pain, Vision's death- everything she had been burying deep down rushed up to the surface.

Alex crumbled to her knees. Wanda had always been powerful, but this power was something that Alex had never had to experience firsthand. It was something new, something so terrifying that she felt a scream rush to her lungs as a tingling feeling filled her mind.

The entire town around them was washed over with a phase of red, then it became black and white. It was like something you would see on TV, but all of it was coming to life.

"What are you doing? Wanda stop!" Alex screamed again, holding her head in her hands. A terrible ringing filled her ears and she fell completely to the ground, her vision blurring at the edges.

"I'm sorry." Was all Alex heard before darkness consumed her.

Alex was standing. It was like she had been like that for hours. Something deep down told her that she should run, that all of this was wrong.

But she didn't listen to the voice. She drowned it out, walking toward a familiar face.

"Vision!" Alex threw herself in his arms. She didn't know why she did it, but she did. It felt like they hadn't seen each other in a while, but Alex couldn't quite put a finger on it.

"Alex." Vision said. He was confused about the whole situation too, or why he was at their house on that particular day. "Welcome home."

Alex found herself smiling uncontrollably. This was their home. She couldn't remember how she got there, or why Vision was there, but she didn't care. "Home."

A/N: Endgame is over! This was originally where I was going to finish the second book and move onto the third, but it felt too short so I'm going to write WandaVision and MoM here.

If you haven't guessed already, it won't be WandaVision, but instead another name that will be revealed later.
