Chocolate Harts

Lucas waited at the cinema. Maya was running, because she was very late.

"I'm sorry, Cowboy. I missed the first bus."

"It's okay. Don't worry. Pat and Maggie are waiting inside for us."

"I almost forgot that we will watch such a schmaltzy movie like Chocolate Harts. Wake me up when it's over."

Lucas grinned.

"I knew you would say that. So, just be cool and act like you would really like me, ok?"

"I might be not the smartest but I'm not dumb. And coolness is totally my thing, ya know?", she smirked.

"By the way, you look great", he said as he walked through the door.

"Thanks."

Pat and Maggie were waitin' at their seats in the middle of the room.

"Hi. Nice to meet you, Riley", Maggie said. She was nice and gentil and made a lot of jokes before the movie began.

"It will start in any second", Pat looked onto his watch.

"It will be so romantic!", Maggie sighed as she gave Pat a long kiss.

"Yes, we are excited too, don't we, honey?", Lucas asked and Maya tried her best not to laugh.

"Right, my little cutie pie", she answered.

Then the movie began. It was about a boy and a girl who were best friends, but they couldn't get together, because he was with her best friend.

Although Maya should've been annoyed, she couldn't stop looking at the screen. It was just so emotional!

In the last scene he gave her a lovely chocolate heart, because they first met when she had bought one and he ruined it by accident.

The movie was over and Maya felt Lucas arm around her neck. She turned her face to him and he looked her deeply in the eyes.

"How was it?", he asked and she shrugged.

"Not as bad as I thought it would be", she answered and stood up.

"Well, you guys want to go to a restaurant together with us?", Maggie asked nicely.

"Thanks, yes", Lucas said and Maya rolled her eyes. Oh no... Not another hour!
