Vivek's POV -

"Fuck my life." I curse under my breath as I hear Smriti sniffle from the other side of her room's closed door.

I knock on the door in the hope of receiving the green flag to enter her room but to no avail.

"Smriti, may I come in?" I try my luck, but I only receive silence in response.

"Okay, giving you a little heads up, I'm coming." I announce as I slowly turn the knob of the door to open it.

Before I could even step inside her room, I was beautifully welcomed by a pillow aimed perfectly on my face.

"Woah!" I let out a surprised laugh.

"There's nothing to laugh." Smriti deadpanned.

"Oh Okay." I rub the back of my neck in embarrassment.

"Give my pillow back." She pouted in anger.

"You know, you remind me of an angry bird. Stella, the pink bird to be precise." I chuckle at my own imagination as I pass the pillow back to her for it to be smacked once again on my face.

As Smriti tossed the second pillow also at me, a mischievous spark gleamed in her eyes. I caught it with a grin, ready for the playful battle that was about to unfold.

Without hesitation, I fluffed the pillow and swung it like a seasoned warrior, aiming for her. She dodged with a giggle, her laughter filling the room like sweet music. The pillow landed softly on the bed, sending a small cloud of feathers into the air.

"You'll have to do better than that!" She taunted, her eyes dancing with mirth.

I accepted the challenge with a playful smirk and lunged forward, pillow in hand. Smriti retaliated by grabbing another pillow from her bed, and the room became a battleground of fluffy warfare. Feathers floated in all directions as we laughed, dodged, and swung our pillows with all the enthusiasm of carefree children. The room echoed with the thud of pillows and our joyous laughter.

At one point, I managed to corner Smriti against the wall, her pillow acting as her last line of defense. She raised it valiantly, but I launched a surprise attack, tickling her sides. She let out a burst of laughter, dropping her pillow in surrender.

"Please, I give up! I give up!" She pleaded between giggles.

I couldn't help but grin, relenting in the playful assault. Smriti and I collapsed onto the bed, pillows tossed aside, as we caught our breath, our faces flushed with the exhilaration of the impromptu pillow fight.

"Remind me not to challenge you to a pillow fight again." I tease, still catching my breath.

Smriti chuckled, her eyes meeting mine with affection. "You're on."

"You are hot." I confess after a moment of silence, as I turn towards her side, propping myself on my right elbow.

The room was filled with a charged silence after my little confession, and I couldn't help but admire the way Smriti's eyes sparkled with affection. But in the next moment, her gaze shifted, replaced by a shy retreat.
