The relentless banging at my door jolts me awake. My hands fly up to my eyes, rubbing at them in attempt to see clearly. The banging continues pounding my eardrums despite having already woken me up.
"Alright! I'm awake! Shut the fuck up!" I yell, swinging open the door furiously, ready to head but whoever was on the other side.
I'm shocked to find Louise standing there, a cheerful smile on her face.
"Morning!" "The guys told me you're a heavy sleep, sorry." She apologises, holding out a McDonalds bag infront of me. "I bought 2 extra hash browns for you."
That's all the encouragement I need to happily welcome her into my room.
"How have you been?" I ask, munching on a hash brown as I take in her appearance. She's wearing a pair of black leggings with a matching black singlet. Despite the minimal care she's put into her outfit she still looks gorgeous in an effortless sort of way.
"I've been great! Been seeing Jake every other day." She gushes, excitement clear in her tone.
I smile back at her, impressed that my brother's putting in effort for once. I didn't know whether she'd just be a fling or not but it seems to me they're pretty keen on each other. She's definitely the first girl Jake's been with that I've genuinely liked. Something about her bubbly personality and friendliness just screams wholesome.
"That's so good to hear. I'll really glad you're coming." I lend her a smile before stripping down to my underwear and throwing on a pair of grey biker shorts and a tight grey work out shirt.
"I wasn't sure who else would be here but when Jake said you and Sarah would be coming along I couldn't say no." She explains and the tone of her voice sounds genuine.
Flinging open my wardrobe doors, I grab a few things to wear and stuff them into a duffel bag before throwing in my brush, deodorant, perfume, swimmers and a jacket. I decide I won't need much more considering we're only going for two nights and anything I forgot to pack I could just pinch off Sarah and Loue.
"Who's here?" I ask, realising there's a fair few of us going.
She thinks for a second before rattling off a list, counting each person out on her fingers. "Liam, Danny, Nick, Jake, Dylan and two girls that I don't recognise."
I'm guessing the two mystery girls are probably Nick and Danny's plus ones but get curious at her failure to mention Rachael.
As if reading my thoughts, she adds on - "None of the chicks from the beach are here."
"Thank God." I say, swinging the bag over my shoulder before following her out the door and downstairs.
Hearing a car pull up, we walk over to the front door looking outside to find Adam's car parked on the curb.
Fuck.
I forgot about that.At least one good thing comes from this as I see Sarah getting out of his car, grabbing her bag out of the back and running down my driveway towards us.
She greets us with excitement and I can't help but to scowl at her, still slightly annoyed that we'd be having our third wheel tagging along. I suppose with the rest of the group here he'd technically end up being an eleventh wheel or something but still, my point still stands.
"Look I'm sorry okay, but at the end of the day he's still our mate. I didn't wanna be an asshole and tell him he wasn't invited." She blurts out in a rush under her breath, trying to explain herself before he comes over.
I roll my eyes, annoyed that I saw where she was coming from and understood her reasoning while Loue stands next to me, confusion written all over her face.
