Chapter 4: Kiss and Tell

The sound of the alarm clock kept going off repeatedly, Jamie rolled over to the side and threw the clock off the bedside table. He was going to be late, but did that stop him from sleeping? Nope, not one bit. Jamie rolled out of bed and walked over to his closet, The closet was left open and his clothes were messily stacked on top of each other. He grabbed the first thing he saw, - a T-shirt and Jeans - he put the clothes on and walked downstairs.

"Morning loser," His sister - Stormi - said as she sat down at the table, Jamie rolled his eyes not wanting to deal with her just yet. He opened the fridge and grabbed the bread bag, he took out a slice of bread and put it in the toaster.

"Morning Honey, want some eggs?" His mum asked, "I can make you some or! I could help you make some pancakes?" His mum continued, hoping he would answer her. His dad walked in and ruffled up his hair, he had a newspaper in his hand - he always read the daily newspaper yet there was the internet.

"Ophelia, Jamie is 17. I am sure he can make his own breakfast, you don't need to do anything except make me breakfast." He said with a cheeky smile, he held her at the waist and tickled her sides.

Once Jamie's toast was ready, he grabbed it out of the toaster and put the jam over the top of it. He ran to grab his bag and jacket that was in the laundry room, he seemed to be rushing which was unusual. He grabbed his slice of toast and kissed his mother on the cheek, he waved goodbye to the rest and out the door he went, putting his slice of toast in his mouth and hopping on his bike. He parked right outside of the school, and once it was parked he saw his sister again.

"How did you get here so quickly?" he asked, she shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"Not important but what is important is that Diego is coming back tomorrow - I think, let's ask Dad after school." Stormi smiled, Jamie smiled in return and nodded his head. The first bell rang and they both split paths. Jamie couldn't believe it, his older brother was coming back to see him. A loud noise stopped his thought process.

"Jamie!" Alex yelled and clung to his neck coming to his side, Jamie laughed and they went to their first lesson together.

~ Time Stamp - Lunch Time ~

Matthew made his way to Harrison's table, there sat Harrison with all of his friends.

"H-Harrison? Could I talk to you?" Matthew nervously asked Harrison, smiled and nodded, and they both walked away to where the lockers were, the hallway was empty so it was perfect for them.

"What do you need Mattie?" Harrison smiled.

"I just wanted to apologise for how I acted at the party, y'know going up to you and showing you my fresh new hickey." Matthew started, and Harrison nodded understanding what he was saying.

"It's alright, I just never knew you'd get a hickey from Hayden." Harrison shrugged. Did Matthew hear that right?

"The hickey was from HAYDEN?" Matthew flipped out, Harrison nodded and then realised what was going on.

"You didn't know??"

"NO OF COURSE I DIDN'T I WAS BLACKFACED DRUNK!"

"Well he did do it, by the looks of it, you both enjoyed it though. Anyway, Mattie, I gotta go - it was nice talking to you." He did his friendly wink and walked away. Matthew knew he needed to blow off some steam but he couldn't believe what he just heard. Hayden gave him the hickey? Was this gonna change things between him and Hayden?

~ Meanwhile ~

"What do you think they were talking about?" Hayden asked once he saw Harrison leave the room. The others watched Harrison go back to his seat.

"Maybe Harrison was the one who gave him the hickey," Jacob said, that was a good assumption. Hayden watched Matthew come back, his tongue against his inner cheek, Hayden obviously wasn't happy with that assumption.

"Can we stop talking about that whole hickey situation, I don't think Matthew wants us to embarrass him anymore. Now, let's talk about something else." Just as Alex finished his sentence Matthew sat back down, taking one last look at Harrison, he then joined in the new conversation. What a dramatic day...
