Asmaara's Aesthetics
...
Asmaara said her goodbyes to her family and settled into the car. The atmosphere was undeniably strange; it was a wedding, but nobody seemed to shed any tears. Her own eyes had long since run dry, but as she glanced back at her parents, she couldn't miss the faint glisten in her mother's eyes and the simmering anger etched on her father's face.
This was far from the perfect wedding she had always dreamt of. Instead, it felt like she had walked into a surreal nightmare, and she feared it was just the beginning.
Asmaara's heart sank as she recalled the image of her ideal wedding, something magical and heartwarming. This, however, was the polar opposite. It was a painful realization that gnawed at her. She felt a rising sense of dread, sensing that this union was destined to be more torment than bliss.
Amidst this tumultuous mix of emotions, Armaan, ever the gentleman, helped her into a luxurious limousine. She couldn't help but notice the visible tension on his face, the twitch of his nerves.
It struck her that she had taken a drastic step, one that had cast a shadow of uncertainty over their lives. Now, with a clearer perspective, she regretted her momentary weakness in resorting to such an extreme measure.
She recollected the words she had once read, words that now echoed in her mind like a mantra, "You hate this moment, not your whole life."
Determination surged within her, the need to understand why Armaan had agreed to this marriage despite their complicated past and how he had managed to persuade her parents.
Summoning her courage, Asmaara turned to Armaan and hesitated before speaking, her voice laced with a mixture of fear and curiosity. "Armaan, we need to talk," she said softly, her gaze earnest.
However, Armaan's response was swift and final. His eyes bore into hers, and with a single look, he silenced her. In a low, measured tone, he uttered, "We will, later."
