Jo was doing work in her office when she got a call on her desk phone, "Hello Josephine Olsen speaking,"

"It's your wife," Lizzie laughed,

"Hey Liz," Jo smiled, "How's work?"

"Pretty good, we just finished a scene but I dont have much time. What time do you think you'll be home today?"

"Uhmm," Jo looked over at her clock, "My last meeting is at 3 so probably 4ish,"

"I'm afraid I'm going to run late can you run a few errands for me?"

"Of course," Jo reached for her iPad, "Lay it on me,"

Lizzie laughed, "LK needs new dance shoes for the recital,"

"I already got them," Jo said, "Sorry I forgot to tell you,"

"Oh, that's perfect! Bettan's surf competition is Saturday and Sunday morning so he needs to wax his board then Sunday night is Chase's decathlon so make sure he has his suit prepped."

"Nothing for Addie?" Jo laughed,

"No, it's a by-week for volleyball."

Jo laughed, "But I'm sure she'll find some friends at the beach to play with."

"Oh, without a doubt," there was some voice in the background and Lizzie said, "I am being summoned back,"

"Okay, don't you worry about the kiddos I'll get it all done."

"I know you will," Lizzie smiled, "I love you,"

"I love you more,"

"I love you most,"

"Never,"

"Never,"

Jo put dinner in the oven before she turned to the three doing homework at the table, "Okay so we have some things to do before Mom gets home."

They all groaned, "Mamaaa,"

Jo shook her head, "None of that," she braced against the island, "It's not the end of the world it'll take an hour maybe two tops then you can get back to doing your homework then having fun." She clapped her hands together, "Addie you and LK need to clean up the patio please, Bettan you need to wax your board, and Chase your suit needs to be steamed." she paused, "Annds Go!"

The four kids slowly moved from their spots to their jobs. Jo started doing the dishes when she heard a thud from the direction of her children. She quickly jogged out to the glass door to see where the sawhorse had turned and Bettan was now lying under the surfboard. Jo squatted down, "Are you good?"

"Yeah Mama, Im okay."

Jo stood back up before she started laughing, "You-" her laughing picked up, "Hang on let me take a picture." Jo took out her phone to take a picture before she took the 6-foot board off of her son. "Let me get you set up." she carried the board over to the lounge chairs so he could wax it and keep it lower on the ground. She looked out across the patio seeing the play equipment away. LK and Addie were in the mud kitchen playing peacefully together.

"MAMA!" Jo turned walking back into the house,

"What!?"

"I need help with this stupid steamer!"
