Today marks the one-year anniversary of Mamaw's passing. There had definitely been a shift in Jo since then; Lizzie could tell a piece of Jo's fundamental being was missing. Jo was sadder. Not with them. Never with them. But Lizzie could tell when she came home from work there was something off like the joy she used to have for her job all but left. Her eyes still sparkled but every now and again Lizzie would catch glimpses of profound sadness like she had never seen. The kids were now 14, 10, and 5 which meant they could afford nights like this when it would just be them. Ever since the LK was born they hadn't been able to have nearly as many nights alone. This is partially because the people who would so graciously babysit now had a family or kids of their own. Lizzie walked up the stairs and into her wife's office leaning against the doorframe and peering into the room. Jo was sitting crosslegged in her desk chair engrossed in something on her screen. Lizzie could hear laughing coming from her screen. "What are you watching?"

Jo looked up and her face softened at the sight of her wife, "Come take a look." Jo untangled her legs so Lizzie could sit on her lap. Jo leaned forward wrapping her arms around Lizzie's waist. Jo put her chin on Lizzie's shoulder before she reached out to hit play. It was a video Mamaw took the last time they all visited. Lizzie and Jo were sitting cuddled on a blanket as they watched their kids play on the rolling hills in front of them. Jo sniffled behind Lizzie; Lizzie reached her hand back to cup Jo's jaw as her thumb went along her cheek, "Oh baby,"

"I miss her." Jo choked as she leaned her head against Lizzie's spine. Lizzie looked up blinking back tears as she listened to her wife cry into her back.

Lizzie stood up before she turned around straddling Jo she pulled Jo against her. "I know you do." Lizzie kissed the side of Jo's head. "What do you need?"

"I want to go home,"

Lizzie pulled away so she could look her in the eye, "To Georgia?"

Jo nodded, "I want our kids to have that every day. To be able to run outside, ride horses, play with other kids in those fields, and walk down the street. I want them to just be kids."

"Are you ready to leave all of this? Retire from all this?"

Jo wiped her eyes, "I-I haven't loved Marvel since you left." Lizzie smiled at her sadly, "And the foundation needs me more."

"What about what I do?"

"I'll fly you anywhere you need to go." Lizzie was thinking through it all as Jo continued, "You only do what one maybe two projects a year? Most of those have been in other locations and we have made those work."

Lizzie nodded, "Can I think about it?"

"Of course!" Jo quickly nodded, "We dont have to make the decision today we just have to make this decision together."

A week later Jo and Lizzie were cuddled up in one another's arms talking about their days like they did every night. Lizzie was tucked in close to Jo, "Tell me what you asked me last week?"

"I dont remember," Jo laughed,

"Where do you want to go?"

Jo perked up, "I want to go home,"

Lizzie leaned in kissing her wife's lips, "Then let's go home."

The next morning was a Saturday; once everyone was done eating and lounging around thats when the mothers decided to tell the kids that they were considering moving. Jo and Lizzie sat on the loveseat before Jo reached for the remote pausing the TV, "Kids," Jo started, "Your mother and I have something to tell you."
