I Love You Part Two

We didn't really have any plans for after lunch so we just stay in the car and talked for a while. "Why don't we go to the movies?" I had asked. We love going to the movies. I was never a big movie connoisseur but with her I enjoy them a lot. A dark, big screened room with no one to bother us. And this theater that we always go to has this amazing daybed that we get to lay on together to snuggle up and watch the movie. "Yeah that sounds like a great idea let's see what's available". After a few moments of scrolling through the different movie selections and showtimes we landed on the perfect one. It gave us just enough time to drive there, get our drinks and find our movie and daybed. We ended up getting settled into our spot, silenced our phones and began watching the movie. It all felt so perfect. Watching a cinema with the love of my life, her arms wrapped around mine. I'm just thinking, there is no possible way that it could get any better than this. We have this thing that we love to do when we watch movies together. Whenever something stupid happens in the movie we like to make a joke about it or when someone makes a funny motion we will end up mimicking that same motion at the same time. Even if we aren't looking at each other we would still be in sync that way. During a slower part of the movie we are just pretty much watching through after our series of laughter. I am just facing the screen and all of a sudden she turns to me and just looks at me. I had not noticed for what seemed like almost a minute. I eventually met her at her gaze and now we have locked eyes. Her eyes glossy, shining bright than that of a flashlight in the night sky. She has given me a very specific look. It was a very familiar one at that. Almost as if it was that same one I gave her on that day at the beach. We stood silent for a moment as we both admired each other with the dialogue of the movie in the background. She was first to break the silence yet again. Her soft, sweet lips opened gently and ever so elegantly as I hear the words flow from a soft breath. "I Love You" my eyes widen, is this a dream? No, this actually happened, she actually told me that she loves me. I know which 100% certainty she means it too especially after our time on the sand. "I Love You too Lillian". Who would have ever thought that the woman I have felt so strongly for, for so long would feel the same for me. I lay my head on the back of the raised part of the bed and just stare at the roof of the building, smiling. Nothing could ever make me lose my smile hearing what I had just heard. It was after that very moment that we both knew... that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, always.
