Four Elements [A Ryan Higa Fanfic]

The Start

{The next day}
"Catherine~ Wake up..." Aqua shook Catherine lightly.
"Babe... Not again..." Catherine groaned.
"It's 12pm." Aqua whispered.
"I'm not gonna fall for your stupid trick again." Catherine turned to face the opposite side.
"Catherine, we need to start training already."
"What training??" Aqua shook her head in disappointment.
"You really forget easily, don't you? Wake up!" Aqua pulled her blanket off of Catherine.
"My blanket~" Catherine groaned. Her AC was still on so it was cold.
"I'm not gonna give this to you unless you get your lazy ass off of that bed." Aqua said firmly. Catherine took a glance at Aqua and sighed in defeat.
"Fine! You win okay!" Catherine sat up, trying to open your eyes.
"Good. Now go prepare yourself. We've got some training to do." Aqua winked. Catherine didn't like the sound of that because that means, a lot of effort needs to be put in and she was not the kind of girl who puts in a lot of effort, well only after studies.
"By the way, where's Ryan?" Catherine asked as she couldn't find her boyfriend sleeping beside her.
"He went out with Sean to do some grocery shopping." Aqua replied.
"I'm assuming Mia is here making breakfast?" Aqua nodded.
"Thank god, I have my bestie." Catherine smiled.
"We're still gonna do our training." Aqua whispered before flying down to the kitchen. No one except Catherine can see Aqua so Aqua can basically do anything she wants. Catherine nodded and headed towards the bathroom.
After Catherine prepared herself, she went to the kitchen to have some breakfast.
"Good morning Cathy!" Mia said and gave her a hug.
"Good morning Mia. How was your sleep?" Catherine wiggled her eyebrows. In the house, there are only two rooms, so nobody was gonna sleep alone. Since there are two couples, one couple per room.
"It is good." Mia nodded, smiling like a huge idiot. I guess you can say that she loves Sean that much.
"What's for breakfast?" Catherine asked as she sat down, waiting for her breakfast.
"The normal." Mia replied, putting Catherine's breakfast down.
"As usual. Thanks Mia!"
"Enjoy and don't each so fast." Mia teased. Catherine laughed with loads of food in her mouth.
"Catherine, don't laugh while eating!" Aqua scolded her. She was apparently going to puke soon.
"Oh my gosh Catherine! Are you alright?" Upon seeing Catherine coughing out her food, Mia immediately went to her. As Mia asked Catherine, she nodded her head but she was still coughing uncontrollably. Mia felt bad but all she can do is pat her friend's back to relieve her. After a few moments, Catherine managed to solve the problem.
"Catherine! Are you alright?"
"Yes Mia, don't worry." Catherine weakly smiled.
"Don't worry? You're telling me not to worry?! Look at the mess you made! How can I not worry for you, Catherine?" Mi exclaimed, pointing to the mess that Catherine made on the floor. Catherine noticed and that made he realise what she has done.
"What I meant was, don't worry about me now. I'm fine now. I promise I will clean this mess now!" Catherine dashed to get the mop. Mia sighed but this is her best friend. She was fine with it.
Aqua was with Catherine all the time.
"Aqua? You're here? I didn't notice you." Catherine said upon looking up.
"Didn't I tell you that I am always gonna be with you all the time? Except when you're sleeping."
"Except when I'm sleeping? Where do you go then?" Catherine asked as she was mopping the floor. Mia was in the living room watching some news so it was the appropriate time for the both of them to have a normal conversation.
"I go back to my kingdom."
"For what?"
"To get some rest."
"You can sleep beside me and Ryan!" Catherine suggested.
"Rules are rules, dear. Oh look, Ryan and Sean are here!" Aqua pointed. In an instant, Catherine dashed to Ryan.
"Ryan!" Catherine hugged him.
"Hey there babe! Why are you cleaning the floor out of a sudden?"
"She laughed causing that mess she made." Mia helped Catherine answer his question. This made Catherine laugh awkwardly.
"My cute baby girl, is still a baby." Ryan chuckled, messing up her hair.
"Nuh-uh!" Catherine shot back, sticking out her tongue at him.
"Catherine, we still have training to do." Aqua reminded her.
"Oh right."
The training then starts after Catherine finished cleaning her mess. It is always hard the first time but as times goes by, Catherine will get the hang of it. Sean, Ryan and Mia didn't mind her at all. They completely understand her and respected her so they didn't interrupt her training session. Having to uphold such an element is such a great opportunity given by the King. In fact, they are jealous of her. Having an element means having power to control something, like water. This continued and became a normal routine in the house.
