I lugged a box of heavy equipment to Ashton's car.

"What's all this for?" Ashton question lifting the lid on the box. Automatically I moved away.

"Stuff." I said blankly, shoving the box into the trunk of his car.

"Right." Ashton said as he got into the car.

It's not that I didn't want people to know, it's just if they did they might talk about it and then I'd seem crazy.

I hopped into the car and instantly music blasted out the speakers, filling my head with lyrics instead of thoughts. I looked across to Ashton, as he bobbed his head along to the music while drumming perfectly in time on the steering wheel. His hair flopping in his face just enough to cover one of his eyes. While he sung perfectly.

I wouldn't deny it ; Ashton was hot. I have no time for a relationship anyway, I never stay anywhere long enough.

My phone buzzed on my lap, the screen instantly lighting up. I glanced at the caller ID "house" and debated whether to ignore it or answer.

My finger hovered over the acceptance button and before I knew what I was doing I answered it.

"Hello?"

There was an unsteady breathing on the other end of the phone.

"Hello?" I repeated again.

"You, you must leave." The voice was raspy and strangely familiar.

I knew it was stupid, the house wasn't alive, let alone would it be able to pick up the phone, but I was unable to cease the shaking in my body.

"I, i ." I stuttered unsure what to say.

"Leave tonight, or meet your end."

The line went dead after that. Ashton glanced across at me. "Who was that?"

"Uh, just my mom." I sighed, well shoving my phone in my pocket.

"You seemed pretty scared, are you sure it was your mom?" Ashton pressed further.

" Yes!" I spat, I didn't want to be pressed for answers. I knew I should t take my mood out on him but I was unsure what to do.
