(Not my poem, a friend's poem)
(This has to be my favorite poem. It's catchy and I'm kind of addicted to it lol)

Love

What the hell is love

Love, fluttering doves, aggressive shoves

Rushing, gushing hearts

Careless whispers, Careless mistakes

Young hearts, young minds poisoned by a drug they weren't warned of

A drug more intense than heroin and more widespread than cigarettes

A drug we all relentlessly chase

The withdrawal, the most deadly the world over

Blood and brains on concrete and couches

Broadcast to children the world over, handed to them like candy

Feeding them delusions of furniture sets and tire swings

Whilst their hearts sing like pendulums over a chasm of pain,  obscured by a fog of dreams so thick, it looks as though you could walk on it. . .

. . . Until they fall through. . .

Into the abyss, into an OVERDOSE

The Narcan was useless against

Dead on impact, at 17
