"You're a poison and I know that is the truth"
- Two Feet
"Damien, I'm shaking."He eyes were still on the wall. "It's your first time, no?"
"Mhm, I'm scared. I can't feel my heartbeat, Damien."
He smiled. "You'll be fine," He took her hand into his.
"Damien, is this supposed to happen? I can't breathe." She put her hand to her chest, looking around the hallway. "Oh my gosh, what if Marissa sees me? What if someone sees us and we get kicked out?"
His laughter filled the hallway. "You're just paranoid. Relax."
She slowly stood, hands on the wall behind to assist her.
"Are the walls moving to you?" She mumbled.
He stood up after her, almost tripping in the process. "I told you the Earth is fucking spinning."
"But there's gravity. Is there no gravity?" Her jaw dropped. They stared at each other for a moment.
"My mouth is dry."
"Mhmm,"
"Damien?" She paused, questioning if her eyes were deceiving her. "Your room card is in your back pocket."
He felt his pocket, taking the card that peeked out. He inspected it for a moment. Suddenly, he burst out laughing. "Where the fuck did this come from?"
His eyebrows furrowed, his expression turning serious. "Did you put it there?"
"What are you talking about?" Elana sounded as if she was about to sob. "I can't do this. I need to sit back down. Damien-"
"I need water," he interrupted.
Elana wiped away a tear and nodded.
She didn't realize when she entered Damien's bedroom. She was wanted to sit back down. She thought she had sat back down.
She stood in front of the doorway, staring at the bed. Recalling what happened last night, she giggled to herself. Damien didn't question her.
After grabbing his wallet, they were on the way out until his hand brushed against her arm. He paused and took a step back. Putting both hands on either of her arms.
"You're so soft." His expression aghast. "Has your skin always been this soft?" He caressed her arms, her senses awakening under his touch.
"I- I don't know," her head cocked to the side.
His body made it closer to her until she was basically up against him. He stroked her skin with unbelievable amusement.
"So fucking soft,"
She stood still as his arms wrapped around her. Her face on his warm chest. He rubbed her back in soothing patterns.
"Damien, water-"
"Shh," he pressed his finger to her lips.
"I slept so good with you in my arms last night." His voice rumbled in his chest. "I never sleep. You feel so fucking comfortable. You're so... warm and soft and nice."
Elana let him hug her but she didn't know how much he needed a hug. And at the moment, he didn't know either. He thought it was the effects of the edibles making him sensitive.
Elana listened attentively to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, to his breathing.
They stayed like that for a long while. Until they grew used to each other's scent. Until their hands had felt every crevice and hill of each other's bodies. Until they grew tired.
