(A/N This is a bit of vent writing. My best friend, Jeremy, committed suicide a few days ago and this is my way of letting it all out. My punching bag broke with the force of my punches, so this is the next best thing. I'm sorry I haven't been updating recently, all this crazy shit has been going on in my life, Including Jeremy, bullying, lots of fights and being hit by a bus. Thank you Eden (T3chyArt15t) for all your support. You're the best friend I needed.)

I sat on my bed, tears streaming down my face. Questions kept repeating in my mind.

Why her? Could I have done anything? Was I to blame? Could I have saved her?

I wanted to scream. Wanted to break everything and let all my anger out. I buried my face into my pillow, sobbing loudly, the tears staining the white pillowcase. I lifted my head, my eyes drifting over to the bathroom, where I kept it. I grit my teeth, screwing my eyes up. No, She wouldn't want that.. I reached for my phone, dialling my best friends number. She picked up soon after.

"Yo!" Storm greeted, her Scottish accent evident

"S-storm?.." My voice trembled, more tears spilling from my eyes.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n) what's wrong?!" She asked. Her voice was stern, yet caring and she was the only person I knew who could combine those two emotions in one sentence.

"My mom...sh-she...." I broke down sobbing, dropping the phone onto my bed. I could hear Storm yell to her boyfriend -Mike-, that she was going somewhere. He yelled back, probably an ok. I rose the phone to my ear.

"Stay put, I'll be there in 10 seconds flat." and with that, she hung up.

I sat on my bed and cried some more, and it wasn't nearly 5 minutes later when Storm burst through the door and wrapped her arms around me. She wasn't an emotional person, but I could feel her hot tears drip onto my back.

"M-mom...she-" I began, only to be cut off by Storm.

"Shhhh, It's ok...I know how you feel." She comforted me, more of her tears falling onto my back.

Jeremy

"S-storm..I'm so sorry- I-I completely f-forgot about-"

"Hey, I said it was ok. That means it's ok, alright?" Her eyes were puffy, but her voice and breathing stayed even. "He's...He's happier and safer now, just like your Mom." She smiled, sitting in front of me, holding my shoulders. "Listen. Everything may seem shit right now, but it's gonna get better ok? She's in a better place now. That bastard isn't gonna hurt you, and if he does, he'll have to answer to her.  Ok?" She was obviously reffering to her darker side. I nodded and hugged her again, burying my face into her neck. "Pack your toothbrush missy, you're coming with me." She smiled and grabbed a case for me, grabbing random clothes and shoving them in. I helped, grabbing things like my headphones, wallet, keys and phone. Around 20 minutes later we were done. She lifted the case with one hand and took mine in the other, leading me out of my apartment, down the stairs and to her epic ride.

A neon green Jaguar sat half-heartedly parked outside my house. She threw my case in the trunk of the car as I climbed into the passenger seat. I had always wondered how she could cope with the pull down doors on the car, they just plain confused me. She climbed into the drivers seat next to me and pulled the door down, turning on the engine as she did so. The engines quite literally roared into life, reducing to a purr after a few seconds. I sunk lower into the comfy leather seats, closing my eyes and listening to the engine. I felt the car roll forwards and I opened my eyes, looking out the window as the houses and trees rushed past.  I heard Storm sigh beside me, and as I looked at her, I saw a sad, far away look in her eyes. I looked down and cried silently until we pulled up outside her house. "Alright we're here." She said quietly, opening the door and grabbing my case from the trunk.

I clambered out, slowly making my way to the door. Storm put her arm around me and led me inside. She went into another room, probably where Mike was, then poked her head out and told me to come in. "Don't worry, he's decent" She giggled, making me giggle too. I wandered in and was greeted by Mike hugging me to death. I smiled as Storm gave a shocked look. "Oh god, he's being nice, this is a dire situation." Mike let me go and poked her in the ribs as I smiled, though it didn't quite reach my eyes. Seeing them together just made me feel so alone. My dad had left when I was six, so I couldn't really remember him that well,  I wasn't in a relationship, and my Mom....

I felt my eyes begin to brim with tears, so I excused myself to the bathroom. I locked the door behind me and slid down the door, covering my face with my hands and crying silently. I don't know how long I stayed in there, but I must've fell asleep, because I was jolted awake by someone knocking on the door. "Hey, (Y/n)? You ok?" Came Mike's voice.

"Y-yeah..." I choked out, sniffling.

"Can I come in?" He asked softly. I stood up and unlocked the door, falling into his waiting arms and sobbing my heart out. He softly stroked my hair, shushing me and telling me it was ok. I had always been secretly crushing on Mike, but when he met Storm, I knew they were perfect for each other. He sat on the floor with me snuggled onto his chest. We sat like that until we heard some thumping sounds coming from Storm and Mike's room. He looked up, the colour draining from his face as we heard Storm growl and yell and a huge thud come from the room. He got up and told me to stay there and as he opened the door, I saw Storm punching the shit out of her punching bag, which was spewing sand everywhere. He went in and pulled her into a hug, walking her over to me and sitting her down, him sitting between us. He pulled our heads onto his chest, stroking our hair. I sobbed quietly into his chest while Storm just sat there, staring at the wall ,the tears slipping from her eyes. Soon after, we all fell into a dreamless sleep where we were, and stayed like that until morning
