I slowly opened my hazy eyes, letting them adjust to the light pouring through the window. I was still leaning on Mike, but Storm was nowhere to be found. I slowly shifted into a sitting position, slightly waking Mike. He grumbled a little before drifting off to sleep. I got up and began my hunt for Storm, finding her in the kitchen. She was standing at the stove, coking pancakes while silent tears rand down her white cheeks. I walked up to her, reaching my hand out to touch her shoulder.
"Storm?" I asked quietly.
She jumped slightly, wiping her eyes. "(Y/n)!..." She mumbled with surprise. "What're you doing up? It's 7:00 am" She sniffled, looking at me over her shoulder.
"I don't sleep well when I'm sad..." I cast my eyes down as she continued cooking. She turned off the stove, turning to me and hugging me. I clenched onto her hoodie, crying silent tears into the soft fabric. Her hand softly stroked my hair, making it all neat and perfect.
"I-it's just not fair....She can't be gone...She isn't gone, I don't believe it!" I sobbed into her chest. Although I couldn't see it, she smiled.
"I know...." She picked me up bridal style with incredible strength. She walked over to the table, setting me into a chair, putting the pancake on a plate and setting it down in front of me. I smiled and picked up a fork as she got the toppings. Maple syrup, Sugar and.....Lemon Juice. I looked up as she looked at the bottle filled with the sour liquid. She smiled sadly, before laying it on the table, petting my head and walking off to wake Mike.
They both walked in a couple of minutes later, Storm going to the stove to cook more pancakes while Mike sat opposite me, flashing me a smile. It didn't quite reach his eyes though. I sadly smiled back, knowing how close Mike, Storm and Jeremy used to be. I continued eating slowly as Storm sat down as well, placing a plate in front of herself and Mike. We all ate in silence. Storm finished and pushed her plate away, me and Mike finishing soon after. Mike made coffee and we yet again sat in silence, until Storm facedesked that is...
"Storm?" I asked, touching her shoulder. She looked up at me, sadness in her eyes.
"We're so screwed...." I slumped her head in her hands. Mike seemed to register what was happening and nodded.
"The job me and Storm work at barely brings in enough money for the two of us, so..." He nervously faltered
"...I gotta find a job." I finished, looking at the two of them. They both nodded. "Well, it needs to be the same hours as you guys' job, but I don't know any places like that. How 'bout you guys?" I asked hopefully. They both shook their heads, muttering a 'Nah' or a 'Nope'. I rested my head on my arm, thinking. I shot my head up, an idea coming to me. "What about the place you guys work up? Freddy Fazbear's or something?" I asked hopefully. The colour drained from their faces.
"No way-" Storm started.
"-in hell" Mike finished.
I stared at them, confused.
What was so wrong with that place?
