A few weeks earlier.

"Dude, tonight at eight - my place." Moon says happily and gives me a half manly hug.
I'm being confused, Moon's place was huge and nobody seemed to talk about him having a party, stuff like this spreads like fire in our school, unless he told me first about hosting a party which he never does.
"What for?" I finally ask and get in his car, he was the first of my friends to get a car since his birthday was like two weeks ago while mine was two months away. Sigh.
"What for? Man you and Jessica are together for a month now. A fucking month. The longest you ever lasted." He shakes his head and closes the door behind him, checking the mirror for any dirt, and than from the corner of his eye making sure I took my shoes off, his obsession with keeping the car clean was getting ridiculous.
"Ho-" I start but he cuts me, "if you ask me this time it might be for real man." He winks at himself in the mirror and starts the car putting the radio on.
"Oh yeah.. so is it like a small party thingy or what?" I ask looking out the window when I notice the rest of the squad on it's way to the car.
"Thank me later. I got you the house all for you two, my parents are out for the weekend and I'm going over to Leuven's house."
"Leuven? Since when do you even talk to him? He's a prick!" I say a little more paranoid than I should be.
"No man you guys just started on the wrong side his awesome,"
I want to protest but Bryan, Nickel and Juan finally reach the car taking their shoes off and getting in the back.
"Don't put Miley on Jesus she's a slut put on some good old Eminem!" Juan makes a face and I just sink back in my sit listening to them argue, the fact that Moon hang out with Leuven bothered me more than it should.
Don't get me wrong I'm not homophobic, it's people's reaction around me to it that bothers me, so why the hell was Leuven so open about his homosexuality was beyond me. It just made me uncomfortable mostly because I was the cool kid in school and people expected me to hate him and beat him up, and every time I don't I get a weird disgusted look. Moon didn't seem to mind it, also Nickel and Bryan. However Juan was on my side in this, keep away from Leuven was our motto, though he did take it too far sometimes, I'll admit.
As he parks in the school's lot I start to put my shoes back on and get out of the car before he even parked. In a run I make it to Jessica who's next to her friends beside her car, and hug her from behind.
"Babe!" She calls smiling and turns around to kiss me. I always thought girls were just bad kissers, the ones I dated anyway.
"Tonight at eight, Moon's place. I'll pick you up." I say and mentally sigh. I hated those thoughts that always came up when I was with Jessica.
"You remembered!" She smiles happily and gets on her tippy toes to hug me, I always thought her hug was way to tight but I hugged her back anyway.
I should really stop looking at her flaws.
"Of course I did babe!" I wink at her and kiss her forehead.
She giggles and we start walking hand in hand to our lockers while she's telling me about her morning, her petite hand in mine feels weird.
While I take my things out for first period the squad catches up, laughing at a joke Moon said, he was always the funny one, I was the player Juan was the complainer Nickel had awesome crazy ideas and Bryan knew everything about everyone.
And Jessica.. Well she was the hot one I guess.
"Can't stand history first thing in the morning," says Juan as we all sit down in class and the bell rings.
A few seconds after class started Leuven storms in with his PJ pants still on and the teacher sighed, "I'll let this one slide." He says and Leuven looks relived as he sits down at his desk next to mine.
The school day was pretty usual that day, what was unusual happened at eight in a penthouse with a girl and a boy.
