It's been over a month since (Y/N) returned. After the confrontation that night, (Y/N) had his eye checked by the medical personnel from the school and Jericho. The damage done by Damian is deep enough to damage the macula within the eye. Despite losing half his eyesight, (Y/N) doesn't lose himself. All he need is some shade, and eye patch to fix them. Students around the school and residents from Jericho are still giving him the weird look everytime he was around much to the frustrations of Wednesday. The girl secretly made plans to find a suitable replacement for him. Even if the eye belongs to a lab rat.
Things did go back to normal for that particular group. It was awkward at first, some apologies every now and then, mostly from (Y/N). The hardest part would be Wednesday, which he had to join her at every Hummers activities to make up for it. But nothing a few dates can't handle. And here comes the worst part. Morticia Addams signed the Nevermore students club to compete in various competitions across the country. Bianca led the choir club and got first place, after Wednesday persuaded the judges of course. Both the girls are more like frenemies rather than rivals considering the fact that both their boyfriends are best friends with one another. But they still tried to kill each other during fencing classes.
"So, you're serious about this competition ain cha?" (Y/N) asks his roommate Xavier, who's currently practicing his archery at the moment. The archery club, currently filled with two full time member and one part time members is the next club to compete for the champions.
*Thunk!
Xavier's archery has improved significantly thanks to the part time member's teaching. (Y/N), on the other hand could just use his power to cheat his way and win the whole competition by himself.
"Unlike you two, I'm just an elite snob without much talent. Wednesday's shot is like a torpedo, it always hit. And you got that power from Crackstone." Xavier pulled out another arrow and shoot again.
*Thunk!
"I need this competition to show my dad that even I can be something without his influence. So work with me." Feeling sympathy for his friend, (Y/N) took off the bangle and actually practice alongside him. Only practice though, he still used it during the competition and help Xavier scored two bullseyes. Without his knowledge but still, that's what friends are for.
Then come late November, snow fluttering down from the cloudy sky like white diamonds, covering the town of Jericho and Nevermore. The cold, the sight, the chill is befitting for the season.
(Y/N), with his shade covering his eyes, both his hands in the pockets of the oversized coat he's wearing, enjoying the breezes in front of the school's gates. Letting out a deep breath, watching them taking the form of mini mist disappearing in front of him while waiting for one particular person. Or walking corpse.
Wednesday Addams, with nothing but a dark hoodie, courtesy of Enid of course, approach the boy. The cold and snow did nothing to her appearance, only some snowflakes stuck to her Raven hair. (Y/N) with a smile on his face turned towards the girl, his girl.
"You seriously gonna dress like that for the winter?" (Y/N) noticed that other than the hoodie, nothing else is different. No additional gloves, and she has the same pants and shoes.
"I would prefer to wear my usual. Enid and Thing blackmailed me into wearing her hoodie." (Y/N) chuckled.
"I would prefer you wear nothing at al..." Silence filled the two after (Y/N) just realized what he blurted out. Wednesday, looking down on his feet, despite the cold and harsh winter, she is feeling more than just warmth. Like magma is filling within her. The boy scratched the back of his neck nervously.
"Apologize. It's the cold and my brain is frozen to a certain extent." Wednesday looked up to him. If it wasn't for the snow, the face would be of different colour.
