Chaos.

Who would've thought getting ready for a party would be so hard?

"Let me go! Asshole!" Kai was holding Niko down, the blonde's hands were bloody, as was Kai's face. Not that he didn't deserve it.

Niko watched as Kai's face slowly healed and felt the spot where his own deep cut used to be. It had weirdly healed overnight, Allen took the bandage off as soon as Niko had walked out of the bathroom. The human couldn't help but wonder what exactly that needle had done to him while he watched Kai and Niko fight. They were arguing, something about Sky and Tyson. Whoever they are, and Kai fucking them. This is when Jace realizes why Niko seemed off earlier. The male's eyes had turned a crimson red, there was no way Niko was human. If anything he was a demon straight from hell. Jace wasn't sure how to feel about that.

He really wasn't sure how to feel about anything anymore.

Magic.

Monsters.

Allen.

Jace shook his head, he didn't need to go down that road just yet. Being left with Kai and Niko while Allen ran some errands was headache enough for him. He didn't want to know what that man did as "errands". It wasn't worth the cost of five therapists to find out.

"Come on Leo!" Kai was yelling now, pulling Niko and slamming him back into the wall. Jace flinched, but the action seemed to get Niko to shut up for a moment. "You know I love you, you're the only one for me." The brunette sighed, "I just- I need this, just one night."

Niko glared at Kai for what felt like a whole minute before breaking eye contact. "Fine." He snapped, "But don't tell me I'm all you need when you need to go fuck around with other people. Don't lie to me."

Kai seemed slightly taken aback before quickly recovering and releasing his boyfriend.

"Let's go clean up this blood, and then we'll go. Got that Jace?" Kai was looking in his direction as he spoke. it was the weirdest feeling like the man was looking right through him.

The male in question just nodded in reply and watched as the two disappeared into the bathroom. Kai had been avoiding direct eye contact with him since he got there. Jace couldn't seem to figure out why.

It took them about fifteen minutes to come out of the bathroom. It seemed a little long for just a quick clean-up, but who was he to judge?

"Okay, let's just go now." Niko seemed a little flushed yet more pissed off than before as he nearly stomped out of the bathroom and over to the opposite side of the room. The blonde had worn a smile that set Jace off. It was fake and angry. Kai on the other hand exited the bathroom with a smirk and an amused chuckle as he met Niko's fusing eyes.

"Yeah.." Jace looked from Niko to Kai and back again. "As much as I hate the thought of being seen in this." He looked down at himself and his outfit, a red tint invading his face. He then looked back up at Kai and Niko, who was still openly glaring at Kai. "I don't want to get too involved in whatever this is."

Kai looked at him then.

He actually looked at him for the first time since Jace had been there. His breath hitched when he met Kai's eyes and a shiver ran up his spine. Kai looked him up and down before looking away with a smirk and a slight shake of his head. "I'm surprised, I heard you didn't put up much of a fight. Putting that on."

"I hate how everyone here knows everything."

"You get used to it." Niko replied to the human through clenched teeth.

It took at least another ten minutes before they arrived at the party. Which was a long time when they teleport which takes less than a second. Jace hoped and prayed that he'd never be stuck getting ready with the two lovers again.

The music was loud but not too loud. There were people everywhere but, the place was giant so, it wasn't too crowded. Jace wasn't looking to get to know any of these people. They seemed to be in the main lobby, there were some glowing signs in the dim room. The signs read things like Bathrooms, bar, and.. auction? That sounded interesting. There were a few other things as well, there seemed to be a lot of private booths that were labelled with glowing numbers. Jace couldn't see all of them though. There were other hallways labelled VIP with signs that Jace couldn't read from where they were standing.

They were in front of the bar sitting on couches. Kai was talking with Rhett, his emotionless brother whom Jace stole the blueprint from. The man didn't say anything to him though. Just listened to Kai, stealing a glance at Niko sitting next to him every few minutes.

Jace's gaze wandered, he looked to the bar.

"Are you guys going to order drinks or..?"

Rhett gave him a look whilst Kai answered. "Oh, we don't drink."

Jase gave them both a bewildered look right back, "What? You go to a party, but you don't even drink? You smoke." He recalled how Niko tore Kai's cigarette straight out of his mouth.

"We get crazy when we drink, so we tend to stay away from it."

"Aww," whined someone Jace had never heard before, he felt two hands rest on his shoulders. "You guys are lame." Jace felt pressure on his shoulder, as the male pulled him back beside him. Jace could get a look at him now. The guy had light brown hair and pale blue eyes. He was taller than Jace but not quite as tall as Kai. His eyes moved to the man's exposed stomach. He was slim and muscular. The guy wore a short crop top and loose torn jeans.

"Lincolnnn." Kai groaned, "You've got to be kidding."

"I'm here, aren't I?" Lincoln wore a crooked grin as he spoke. He could almost be taken as sober if you ignored the way he was always finding something to lean on. This time "something" just happened to be Jace.

Lincoln had bothered Kai and Rhett about drinking for another five minutes before everyone else showed up. Including Allen, Zane, and others Jace didn't recognize.

Allen was standing behind Jace. The blonde could feel Allen towering over him the whole time he was talking to another man who had walked up to them in the club. He was shorter than Allen but quite muscular. His chocolate brown eyes would probably be at Allen's nose if he got close enough to the man.

They were talking about numbers and business things Jace wasn't very interested in. The smaller was busy looking around and studying all the other surrounding faces. He had seen the man in front of him already with his brown eyes and hair that had been dyed maroon.

"Malcolm!" Someone yelled from the crowd. The man talking to Allen spun around in search of the source of the voice that had called his name. Someone emerged from the crowd, there was a long scar across his face. It went from just above his now blind eye down to the bottom of his chin. It looked bad like he was cut by sharp jagged metal. The man rushed to Malcolm, and a shorter boy ran closely behind him, keeping up as if he was scared of getting lost. The boy looked a little young to be in a club. He looked sixteen. Jace couldn't say anything though. He learned that these people were quite unpredictable in the short time he'd been there.

When they arrived the boy kept his head down and put his hood up. He had dirty blonde hair. The hoodie he hid himself in was red and had tears in the sleeves, along with the hoodie he wore ripped jeans and a golden heart-shaped locket around his neck. Jace eyed the locket, wondering just how old this kid was.

In less than ten minutes of listening to the conversation between the three men. Malcolm, Allen, and the man with the scar. He learned that the mystery man's name was Emmit and he owned the club. The man himself was just as tall as Allen and had silver eyes. They were cat-like. Other than the colour they were almost identical to Allen's eyes. His hair, on the other hand, was nothing like Allen's. It was a nice platinum blonde that fed into his silver-coloured eyes.
