The Gamble

When I woke up the next morning, my mind was split on what I should do. I wanted to go and see the door but the thought of disappearing or something worse happening flooded my mind.

It was a difficult choice. First, I needed to get myself to school on time since I don't want to find out what my mom will do if I'm not ready for school. I hopped on the bus and made it to school just in time.

I was sitting by the window, contemplating whether I should risk going through the door. The thought lingered in my mind, and the possibilities were endless.

On one hand, nothing could happen, or on the other hand, some sort of evil phantom could come and hunt me down. These possibilities had such terrible outcomes, but for some reason, I was drawn to it like an invisible magnet.

As soon as the bell rang, I rushed to my class and sat down. Luckily, the teacher hadn't arrived yet, so I was safe for now. When he did eventually arrive, he smelt terrible, so I was glad I was sitting at the back of the class. Class started and we were learning math. I listened as the teacher rambled on about algebraic equations. When the bell rang, I made my way outside and Max was waiting for me. He told me we weren't going through the door, but I didn't listen. I made my way to the side of the building and found the door with an ominous feel. It was almost as if the door was asking me to open it, and the door had a calm but peaceful aura to it.

As soon as I put my hand on the doorknob, everything changed. The aura felt cold and dark, and there was a slight wind that sounded like screams. Max pulled me away from the door and warned me not to touch it. He was sweating and pale, and he looked like he was going to kill me himself. However, the door opened and the sound of the wind came back. Max turned pale again, and as I looked behind me, I saw it. A hallway.
