Chapter 6

Celeste POV

I slowly feel myself regaining consciousness, my hand twitching a little then my eyes slowly open up. I hear some muffled voices although I can't make them out just yet. It takes a few minutes until I can hear or understand what the muffled voices are saying. I also take the time to notice we are in a big town still in Sokovia. I mentally sigh at this knowing we will have to leave the country as soon as we can if possible.

"What if she doesn't wake up? Like ever then we will be trapped here forever and die here along with her." Wanda said to Pietro.

"Wanda calm down. Don't you think if she was dead the shield that is protecting us wouldn't still be up since it is from her powers?" Pietro tried to calm his panicking sister.

"I don't know she hasn't really told us what exactly her powers are. She barely ever uses them nor does she know the limits to her own powers since she rarely uses them." Wanda said still panicking which makes me roll my eyes. I decide to lessen her worries before she panics much more.

"Both of you calm down I'm not dying yet nor do I ever plan to. I just used too much energy and power and my body isn't used to it." I said softly to them and they both jumped upright and looked to see I was awake and then suddenly both twins squish me. I chuckle slightly and hug them both back. I then check both for any injuries, which I was happy to see that there was none. Pietro was the first to release me from the hug and he tried to pry Wanda away from me but she just clung tighter to me. Pietro gives up and he sits next to me. Wanda slowly lets me go and I can tell she is searching for any injuries that I may have. When she is done she lets a sigh of relief and then she just cuddles into me.

"Hey Wands I'm okay, see? I didn't mean to scare you or your brother." I said softly to her knowing that she sometimes does retreat back to a scared child when she gets too overwhelmed even though both of them are 20 years old. Wanda doesn't say anything as she tries to hold back her tears and she just snuggles into me more, which makes me smile down at her. I can feel sadness coming from both her and her brother although he is trying to be the brave one.

"Come here Pietro there is enough hugs for you as well." I said softly to him and he comes and clings to me as well. It is just now that I realise how lost they would be if I did die and it makes me a bit sad for them but I am glad that I have their trust. I also just realised that both see me as not only their older sister but also mother in a way. I can feel it coming off them both at it makes me smile.

I hug both Pietro and Wanda tighter, which get's a response from them both, although in two different ways. Pietro kind of snaps out of it and realises that he is a guy and guys don't hug girls because its less manly or something like that, that is all his thoughts not mine. Wanda on the other hand just snuggles into me tighter again and I smile whilst I start to play with her hair. I stay playing with Wanda's hair for a bit more before I decide that we all should get some food and a place to rest for the night. I sigh slowly prying Wanda off of me and I help her stand.

"Common we should get some food and a place to stay for the night so we can be well rested for whatever tomorrow brings." I said to both of the twins who nodded their heads and followed my lead. I wave my hand making the protective shield around us disappear. I realise that all of us should really change our clothing but we have nothing to change into and we also have no money. I sigh at that thought but I decide that since the twins can go as normal people on the street and I can always just hide in the shadows like I was trained to do in the clothes wear currently wearing. We go into the city and I decide to stay in the shadows but so I can still watch the twins. I got both Wanda and Pietro to go and pretend to me normal citizens, which they were good at until Pietro decided to try and flirt with a girl who wasn't interested in him making both Wanda and I laugh especially when Wanda says something to her brother making the girl he was talking to walk away from Pietro.
