Chapter 13

Celeste's POV

After about walking around the building for about 5 minutes without really thinking of a set destination I realise Bucky is still following me. I am confused as to why as I think I have now walked past the kitchen twice now just lost in my thoughts.

"You know Winter, you don't have to keep following me." I said to Bucky and he just shrugs his shoulders.

"I know that, but considering I don't really know anyone here apart from you and Steve and that Steve doesn't seem to like you I would rather stay with you when I get the chance. Not to mention I want to try and to be at least friends with you again." Bucky said to me and I sighed suddenly stopping my walking to turn and face him.

"You know that I would love to go back to being at least friends with you again but you and I both know that it won't be good. The last time it happened, Hydra caught us and it didn't end well for either of us. You lost your memory again and I got tortured and then more then likely frozen if your memory's are anything to go by. Yes that is apart of the memory you can't remember and if I am being honest with both you and myself I don't remember that time which is bad though it makes sense on how I am still looking as young as I am. I just don't want you to suffer if things don't go the way either of us wants. Lets not forget that I basically am a mother like figure to both the twins now. Before I wasn't but since I looked after them in Sokovia and then escaping Hydra with them I would do anything for them. They got me to feel again James. I don't want anything to go bad with any of it." I said trying to explain what I am feeling but failing.

Bucky just looks at me and I could tell he was reading me and then suddenly he gave me a hug. I return the hug finally feeling safe again in his arms and also how exhausted I still am. We stay embraced in a hug for a good few minutes, longer then what was expected for friends but truth be told we never really were just friends or partners even if Winter Solder couldn't remember he still felt a need to protect me when he could.

Bucky was the one to step back from the hug but he kept his right hand on my shoulder looking into my eyes.

"I know this and I know if we tried again we will take it at your pace and when you are ready. I want this and I know you do as well. I am fine with the twins being apart of your family like how Natalia and Yelena are. I am happy to try and figure things out with you about you possibly having missing memories. I will always want to protect you. Hell when Steve was saying that shit earlier I wanted to fully let Winter out to deal with him before you stormed into the room. I am so happy you thought to make me the new arm. I am also so sorry I attacked you yesterday. I don't know what or why that happed." Bucky said now it was my turn to give him a hug.

"Yesterday wasn't your fault, it was Hydra's. Hydra made an extra program that I am guessing only the people who programmed it knew. I am guessing it was only there because of the last time I got your memories back. Basically a fail-safe if I brought your memories back again but they underestimated my power." I said to Bucky before I let go of the hug smiling up at him so he knows that we are fine and that I still trust him and do want him still. Bucky gives me one of his flirty smiles before he relaxed again.

"Thank you, Seraphina." Bucky said and I raised an eyebrow at him for saying my fake name but then I realised that someone was about to turn around the corner. I smiled at Bucky for the warning, which he returned before it quickly disappeared again. I turned around to face whoever was about to round the corner only to see Nat with a frown on her face.

"What is wrong sis?" I asked Nat and she just shrugs.

"I was just wondering what we are going to do now that Stark and the government are trying to find all of us." Nat said and I sighed.
