02:26 ━━━⬤──────── 04:17Shivers running down her spine,
[Y/n]'s lips pressed into a thin line while she was helping out her mother at the bar — unlike any other day. Today felt awful. Terrible. Downright horrendous. And why that was? Ryusei has been completely missing for the past week and no one knows of his whereabouts.Of course, that struck a chord in [Y/n] because her twin brother is nowhere to be seen. Her own mother doesn't know even though the girl had asked her many times, getting the same old response over and over again 'He must be out for trouble,'
What did that even mean for Christ's sake?Pulse vibrating like an echo, [Y/n] hadn't shown up to school for the past week because she was worried for her brother. And what kind of sister would she be if she simply brushed off his disappearance as normal? The [h/c] haired girl's teeth grated together in an act of discomposure. Not being able to find your other half is absolute hell. Ryusei was her everything.
She had been simply keeping her replies short whenever Chifuyu would ring her up or send her text messages. It's not like she wanted to act that way towards the boy she loved, but the concern for her brother overpowered her sensibility.
Shifting in place while cleaning the glass with a handkerchief, [Y/n]'s eyes lowered and she could reckon her nose scrunching up that very moment while the dampness glossed over her eyes.
'Breathe. Breathe.'
Even reassuring herself was not aiding her worry. And what else could she do? She searched everywhere, every nook and cranny she came across — finding nothing and coming home with her head low in shame to the ground every, single, time; in the wake of the distress she was going through.Despite that fact, even Baji had been texting her every day just like Matsuno was. They were both close to her after all, and they showed how much they cared.
Words were difficult, especially now that her family member was somewhere out there unfound. What was she supposed to conjecture? Nothing felt right.
Expecting Ryusei to show up out of nowhere again was no possibility because he wouldn't leave in the first place without telling his twin sister where he'd be off to. Take into consideration that Ryusei was only thirteen years old like she was, sure he knew how to defend himself but that didn't mean that there weren't odds that he wasn't okay this very moment; and that made [Y/n]'s chest tighten.
Yet, the girl hadn't told anyone that her brother was literally missing. They would most likely think that he was slacking off at home, which was not the case whatsoever.
All of a sudden, she heard knocking on the front door of the bar, eyes cracking open again.
"I'll get it." [Y/n]'s mother huffed while fixing up her hair. Throwing the door open, the woman started,
"Sorry, we're still setting up— Oh, hey!"
