You were in your new apartment after escaping your evil mother. You were waiting for Ji-su to come back to your shared apartment. Since you were young and broke you had nowhere to go except for your sister's new apartment. She let you stay with her and was very grateful you are still alive because your mother is a very horrible person. You were on your phone watching videos like you always do when you hear the door open.

"Hey y/n! " It was your sister. You stood up and walked over to her hugging her. "Hey sis" you smiled at her "You hungry?" she asked. You nodded your head and went back to watching videos on your phone.

After some time Ji-su came back from the kitchen with two bowls of ramen for both of you. You ate and talked about your day.

After you finished you took both the bowls and washed them. You went to your room but didn't close the door because Ji-su was scared you would hurt yourself. Ever since you moved in together which was very recent Ji-su noticed the self-harm scars and always worried about you since seeing them. For that reason, you don't close your door. You changed into your pajamas in the corner of the room away from the door so Ji-su couldn't see you. You soon got into bed.

-The next morning-

You woke up and got ready for the day. You don't go to school because your mother forced you to be home all the time. You decided to hang out with Eun-yoo today. You met Eun-yoo a few days ago, but you guys are already like best friends. You texted her and she answered almost instantly. You guys decided to hang out on the roof.

-Time skip-

You stepped out onto the roof the sun blasting its rays in your eyes. You put a hand over your eyes to shield yourself from the sun. After looking around for a bit you spot Eun-Yoo dancing ballet.

"Hey" you said and she turned around "Hey y/nniee how are you?" "I'm good what about you?" she turned and looked at her feet "I'm dancing ballet" She smiled a little, but then she turned to you and asked "So did you find a new friend? Maybe saw a cute guy in the building?" she said teasing you "Well not really" she smirked at you "What do you mean you saw a cute guy here?" she asked smiling widely "Well he isn't cute but he is very hot and handsome" you say blushing just thinking about him

"Who is he?" she asked grinning at the fact her best friend might have a crush on someone "I don't know his name but he is tall, handsome, hot, short black hair, lowkey looks like a gangster and is probably a hitman, I mean he looks like one." Eun-yoo looked at you in disbelief "You can't be serious! Him? Isn't he in his 30's?" you were embarrassed that you had a little crush on someone twice your age "Oops" Eun-yoo just rolled her eyes and smiled at you.

She got up and turned on some music and started dancing again. You were watching her like she was a piece of art in a gallery. The door to the roof opened and a boy stepped out from the building walking over to the ladge of the building. He was looking down probably thinking whether he should jump or not.

Eun-yoo suddenly stopped and looked down to see gum on her pointe shoe. She looked up and saw the guy looking at her "Did you do this?" She asked him "No." said the boy. You then zoned out looking at the beautiful city as you were never able to do so because you were always kept inside the house by your mother.

You then felt Eun-yoo pulling your hand and going to sit on the rooftop. She started taking off her pointe shoes, but after taking one off she stopped to smoke a cigarette. She offered you one but you denied it. She kept talking with the guy somewhere around her age rather than yours."Don't die here" you heard Eun-yoo say to the guy. She continued by saying "You'll end up causing trouble for everyone else who lives here. Jump off some other building" You slapped her shoulder for saying something like that, but she just looked at you and smiled.

You said goodbye to Eun-yoo after hanging out a bit more and headed to your apartment. You could already hear Ji-su playing bass in the apartment. Once you entered you saw her smoking and playing the bass enjoying the music she was playing. "Hey sis" you walked over to her after greeting her. She just nodded her head at you and stopped playing.

Then she picked up her phone and asked "Like it?" when you heard a woman's voice coming from the phone "It sucks. Are you really playing there? Don't you have any pride?" You felt bad for Ji-su knowing that she was very passionate about playing the bass. Ji-su replied by saying "Keeping my pride won't get me paid. And they're paying me a lot. I could sell my soul for that kind of money, you know?" you looked at your sister weirded out by her statement.

You walked to the kitchen and got yourself banana milk from the fridge. You opened the window as Ji-su's smoking made the whole room smell bad. "I have to go to work now. Bye." she told the woman on the other end of the phone. She then came up to you after packing her bass to go to work. "Be safe today and remember don't trust anyone weird. I'll stop at the store before I come home so don't eat anything an hour before I come back ok?" you nodded your head at your older sister. You hugged her and you both said bye to each other. Ji-su then ran out the door after blowing you a kiss.

You chuckled at your sister's behavior. You then got a text from Eun-yoo asking if you wanted to meet up again. You smiled at the text on your phone, got up, and went to find Eun-yoo. After a while you find Eun-yoo near a door saying 'Do not enter' yet she was still trying to enter it. "I don't think that's going to work" She turned to you and smiled "Oh really? Couldn't have guessed that myself." she said sarcasm evident in her voice. You both laughed after a second passed.

You guys then heard footsteps approaching. You looked at each other both of you not knowing who it was. Eun-yoo then takes a look at the person after the footsteps stop. She then turned to you and grinned like she had just stolen candy from a child. You looked at her confused as to why she was giving you that look. She then motioned for you to take a look. It was him. The handsome gangster guy you had a small crush on. Eun-yoo looked at you to see you basically had hearts in your eyes looking at him. She smirked and started walking towards the man motioning for you to follow her. You hesitated but ended up following her anyway.

You two then stood next to the guy, you in the middle of both of them which was unfortunate as both of them were smoking. Eun-yoo was studying the man wondering how her best friend had a crush on him. You on the other hand refused to look at him. You didn't even glance at him. Eun-yoo began to speak "Do you even pay rent?" you looked at her as if she was crazy. She just gave you a big smile. After a moment the gangster spoke in a soft monotone voice. Even his voice was attractive. "Why don't you ask your questions at school?" He didn't even look at the two of you. Or so you thought. When in reality he took a glance at you, but not Eun-yoo.

You and Eun-yoo snickered at his reply while looking at each other. "I got expelled, for setting it on fire" she admitted to him. "I was homeschooled by my mother" you told truthfully. Jae Heon a guy in the building sometimes teaches you school subjects he knows the best. Eun-hyeok, Eun-yoo's brother also helps you out sometimes. You weren't smart neither stupid. You were around average in knowledge but you blame it all on your mother.

The gangster finally looks at both of you looking at you for a second or two longer than Eun-yoo.
