Chapter 15

The soldier went into the building to look for Eun-yoo, being super pissed at her. He came out of the building holding Eun-yoo by her hair. He started beating her. You stood up and started walking to them. You collapsed though so Sang-Wook had to put you back on the truck. No one wanted Eun-yoo to get beat. The soldier tried to shoot Eun-yoo but the other one stopped him "Try not to move." Sang-Wook warned you, worried about your injuries.

Ji-Su came up to you and kneeled before you "You will be able to hold on until we get you medical help right?" You nodded super weak. The wound on your leg opened up again. So you couldn't walk on your own.

You didn't hear what they were talking about as you were too far away. You all stood up and got out of the truck. Sang-Wook carried you on his back. You weren't focusing on what the soldiers were talking about "Tie them all up. We're heading back to camp." The older soldier said.

The younger one then asked, "Even the survivors, sir?" But of course, the older soldier had to say some annoying shit "You think these assholes look like survivors? I wanna kill all of them but I'm holding back. They'll live if they're lucky. But if they die, that's their fate, right?" Asshole.

You softly spoke up from Sang-Wook's back, it was loud enough for the soldier to hear you though "If you want to save the world so badly don't be an asshole to people. You may be in the military but that doesn't make you different. I heard monsters come for people who don't know how to act like adults during serious situations. Be careful if you want to live." You smiled mockingly at him.

He looked at you and spoke, "Little bitch if your bodyguard wasn't guarding you every second I would have killed you long ago." Sang-Wook looked pissed "I'm her boyfriend believe it or not asshole, I would have also killed you long ago if I could but there are children here so I'm holding back." He spoke harshly.

You blacked out due to the older soldier hitting you on your head with his gun.

-Time skip-

You woke up next to Sang-Wook. Your hands were tied behind your back. You saw the soldier leaving. Then a rumbling sound was heard. Soon squelching noises were also heard. Nervous and heavy breathing was coming from all of you.

You soon saw a figure. It was Mrs. Im. You were still slipping in and out of consciousness so you didn't hear what they were talking about. Mrs. Im was covered in a weird substance. She continued walking and soon passed you. She was naked which was a little weird.

The soldier ran over Mrs. Im but she didn't seem fazed. He started pouring gasoline on her planning to lit her on fire. But before he could a tentacle pierced through his head. It was the fucking blind monster.

Sang-Wook put you on his back after getting his and your hands free. The monster looked larger and more powerful. Everyone was quiet as the monster's hand got stuck in the car near everyone. The monster continued snarling.

You all started moving quietly as Sang-Wook tried his best to make sure you didn't get hurt by the debris lying around. The monster got his hand free but everyone continued moving. But suddenly Sang-Wook stopped. A drone was flying by making the monster hit it with its hand. Everyone gasped and this seemed to trigger the monster. The soldier started shooting at the monster.

Sang-Wook ran to the new vehicle. He sat you down and looked for any new injuries. The vehicle was like a bus. Because the asshole started the engine it caught the monster's attention. Its hand broke into the bus. He used his hand to pull himself to the bus smashing the window.

The asshole started driving making the monster let go and roll on the dirt. You were confused about what was happening you weren't allowed to move but you saw the soldier being wrapped in an eye. He kept slashing at it. He started running towards the bus finally making it.

-Time skip-

You were resting your head against Sang-Wook's shoulder. Ji-su kept coming to the back to check on you. Other than that the ride was silent. "That was Mrs. Im back there, right?" Yeong-su spoke asking no one in particular. Su-yeong decided to tell him the truth "I think so, yeah."

The Bom owner spoke "That lady, she was the mother from room 1504, wasn't she?" Su-Yeong answered with a yeah. The glasses guy spoke, "Didn't you say she turned into a monster, though? You said it yourself back there." You did remember she turned into a monster.

Su-yeong continued "Yeah, she did." The Bom owner spoke, "You think she was resisting it like Hyun-su did?" The residents continued speaking but you were too tired to listen to them. You got scratched by debris into your already injured leg. The bus suddenly came to a stop. Ji-su came over to you.

She sat down next to you "How's your leg?" She asked "It hurts. How is your injury?" You asked back "It's fine. I miss when everything was normal. Just us in our apartment. Hanging out, talking about random things, and so on." You looked at her "I miss it too." She hugged you and you continued moving on the road after taking another survivor in.

You, Ji-su, and Sang-Wook started taking a nap everyone following. Soon the whole bus was sleeping. A gunshot woke up all three of you. You saw the asshole finally turning into a monster. Thank god, he was getting on my nerves.

You however saw Su-yeong not breathing. This made your stomach drop. Sang-Wook didn't waste a second picking you up and getting out of the bus. The man kept shooting the asshole. He looked disgusting. He let out a gruesome scream making your ears hurt.

Ji-su started moving towards the monster. She picked up a firegun and spoke "You look hideous as hell." She then lit him on fire. He got what he deserved.

Soon his screams stopped. You noticed Su-Yeong wasn't waking up. You jumped off Sang-Wook's back and rushed to Su-yeong's side. "Hey, Su-yeong wake up. Please wake up. Your brother needs you. Please Su-yeong. We need you." You spoke starting to cry. You kept crying. You placed her head in your lap. "Su-yeong no no no no no. Don't do this to us. Please wake up." You begged the girl to wake up.

You let out a pained scream. Everyone knew you cared deeply for both Su-yeong and Yeong-su. So this was painful for you. Letting go of a child you cared so deeply about. The tears didn't stop. You kept begging Su-yeong to wake up. You refused to believe she was dead. Sang-Wook and Ji-su had to drag you away from Su-yeong. They managed to calm you down.

Su-yeong was placed in the bus so she could rest in peace. Letting her go was going to take a while. You continued sobbing just way less. You were told you had to go on foot from now on. You stayed by Su-yeong's side for another few minutes before Ji-su told you it was time to go. "Can you give me a minute please?" You asked. Ji-su nodded and left.

You took a deep breath "Su-yeong I will always see you as family. I will miss you so much. This hurts so badly. Every time I look at the stars I will remember you. You always protected your brother. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I will look after Yeong-su for you. I will teach him to read and write like you asked me to when we first met. I really hate that I have to let you go like this. I will always remember you. I feel guilty I didn't notice what was happening sooner. Su-yeong promise me that when you get to heaven you will be a good girl. I will make sure Yeong-su will be healthy and happy and won't get in trouble with the adults. You mean so much to me Su-yeong. I never got the chance to tell you this but if I ever have a child and it's a girl I will name her after you. Su-yeong this is my final goodbye. I will miss you so much dear don't forget that. I wish I could bring you back to life but I can't. Goodbye, Su-yeong."
