Chapter 50-Finale

You were happy with what you'd done. It took another week or so, but it was done.

You sprawled out of your bed and grabbed your keys, wiping your eyes with your other hand. The blanket ruffled again and you were pulled back down onto the bed, crushed in giant metal arms.
"You're so whiny in the mornings..." you groaned. Freddy didn't respond, holding you a big tighter. His head snuggled into your shoulder. "You're not going to my work today."
He let go immediately, allowing you to sit up, fling your legs over, and land onto the hardwood floor. You pulled down your baggy pajama shirt, which had been ruffled from rolling around last night. You grabbed a new pair of pants and a shirt and stepped into your closet to change.
It's been going great for you for the last six months...yep. Six months. You thought that it'd be the end of it once you got your own place to stay, but it wasn't. You kept your friends, human and not, and you were able to support yourself. With their help, of course.
Foxy, or "Raymond", landed a job at a store and was slowly working his way up to being a favorite employee. Baby and Ballora, or "Abby" and "Janice", did babysitting. Every once in a while, they'd have one of them in their animatronic appearance, claiming the other had bought an untouched, scrapped model from Fazbear Entertainment. They had a whole story to wear off any suspicion.
Freddy was the only one to go by his actual name. He came with you to work every once in a while--you worked an office job at a nearby university, finally putting your experience in accounting to good use. Once Freddy learned to drive, he would bring you lunch and drive you places during your breaks. It was really nice to have him. And then, when everyone came home, the whole house was shut out from the world, allowing everyone to let their original appearances loose.
"Everyone's so mean to me today!" Freddy whined. He had sat at the head of the dinner table, crossing his arms and slouching down in his seat. Everyone looked at him with an annoyed, deadpan expression, then at each other. Baby and Ballora made eye contact, then looked at you for support. Foxy was looking between everyone trying to figure out what was being discussed.
"Freddy, no one took your crinkle cut fries. You don't even really have to eat, so I don't see what the big deal is." You said bluntly. The bear took in a huff and swallowed up his dramatics.
"...Okay." And he took a bite of the spaghetti.
There were also some upgrades you made to the animatronics using old blueprints. You were surprised that the company took away some of their senses over the years instead of building off of them. They probably didn't want to go in that direction, anyway. Y'know, the "revolutionary technology" route of giving a robot taste. It took months of hard work to perfect once you acquired the blueprints, but you found a way for them to eat and taste. And that was as human as they wanted to be, and you agreed. You didn't want to make them uncomfortable with their own bodies--it would go against the entire point of everything. Freddy was very dramatic, but in his own crybaby way. The prize for most dramatic truly only went to Foxy.
You grabbed your tote bag and car keys to leave for work. Before you unlocked the front door to make your exit, you turned around and saw Freddy tidying up around the living area. You were really proud of him, really. He couldn't age, but he has certainly "grown up". He's developed his systems and AI to make sure you were taken care of. It showed just how much he cared about you, and you loved him for that. You thought about when you first met him, as a college student. He really should've set off some alarms in your head. But looking back on that, the bear really didn't know how to show or process his feelings. Not to give him any excuses, no. He was a genuine creep. But comparing his behavior and genuine nature from then to now was poetic in a sense. The impact you had on him was astounding these past six months. And it wasn't just him. You loved everyone, and their unique personalities, and how they've adapted to their new lives.
Freddy looked up and caught you staring. You didn't stop. You walked over, looking at the idiot lovingly. He set aside the cleaning towel on the counter and walked over to you.
You stood up on your tippy toes and placed a small, sweet kiss onto his muzzle.
"Love ya, Fred."
"I love you too, cupcake."

....Well.....it's done.....it's finally done.....
I never thought I'd finish it. But anyways....
...I'd just like to say, CONGRATS to EVERYONE that made it this far!!
I've been writing this book since my Freshman year in high school if you couldn't tell lol. Gosh this book is cringe. But I'm cringe and free, so.
Well, I couldn't bring myself to hate on this book. It's a staple in my fandom history, I'm afraid. It's like everyone's preteen middle school years. Sure, it wasn't one of your proudest times, but you still look back and cherish it. Hopefully. Or is it just me? Idk. But this book will hold a special place in my heart. And sorry about the pacing, which is an absolute mess at this point. I wanted to finish this by the time I left for college, and here I am typing this the day before I leave lmao. I wanted to start it starting off high school, and finish it starting up in college. And here I am. All in all, this book is finally done, over three years later. The ride was surely worth it, on my end at least. I'm happy with how it turned out--cringe and free.
And thanks you guys for the support and comments and compliments I've been getting over the years. It's brightened my day several times in the past and it still does looking back at it all.
I'll still be online writing some FNaF fanfics. Unless by the time you've read this, I've moved on from FNaF. It might be a little while until then, but it is inevitable. At the moment, I'm writing a Withered Bonnie x Reader fic that I'm actually trying to write well lmao, you should check it out. As for FunFred, I may end up writing him later on as well; you never know.

Well, thanks you guys.
