They reached a room with bronze doors, Fedrick knocked lightly and it opened from the inside, though there was no one who opened it. In the room, there were more seriously injured Warriors on white hospital beds. Some with broken legs, arms, few missing an eye and more. Laila almost felt embarrassed because she was complaining about a cramp when there were others who could actually use the time spent on her.

As she waited on a chair- colorful, again – she noticed that most of the doctors there weren't using pills or tablets or syrups but were simply keeping their hand over the wounded areas to heal the injured. Laila sighed, 'More powers?' Fedrick, sitting beside her, nodded.

'Why are they injured so severely?'

'Kids who sneaked into a war to catch a glimpse of the Leaders or just lost a tooth during training. They'll be healed, though...some while having a fight. Hmm, there are actually loads of ways to break an arm. You can guess for yourself, with your luck, you must be an expert by now, nine-year-old.' Fedrick chuckled.

'Are you mocking me? Want a demo?' Laila asked, getting up.

'No, no, sit down. You might break that neck. If that happens, Dora's going to kill me.'

'Dora?' She enquired as she sat down again.

'Dylan and Nora. I ship them.' He said smugly.

'You know Dora? Dora The Explorer?' Laila ignored his former reply as if he'd never spoken.

'Who's that? I was joking. You're not going to tell on me, right?'

'You don't know who she is?'

'No, I don't.' Fedrick's answer was accompanied by a small shake of his head.

'You really don't know?'

'I don't know.'

'How can you not know?' That's classic, thought Laila.

'What don't I know?'

'You're hopeless, Fedrick.' Laila said as she rolled her eyes.

Fedrick was about to answer but a doctor came to attend to her and he didn't get a chance to. So, all he could do was sit and scowl at her the entire time the doctor was there. The doctor just checked her neck told her to hold steady He kept her hand over her neck and muttered a few spells. Laila felt a cooling layer spread over her cramped neck. They were done in a few moments.

As soon as they got out of the medical room, with Laila now holding a few chocolates in her hand that suspiciously looked like tiny silver grapes (Fedrick had told them she was nine), Fedrick tapped on her shoulder.

'What?'

'I want to know what you were talking about in there. About Dora.' He spoke.

'Seriously? Of all the things you could've asked, that is what you're curious about?

'Dora is this little girl who roams around the world, looking for the most random places and questions about really obvious things, has a monkey for a pet, and asks everyone on her way for directions though she's got a mummied map.'

'She sounds cool. I like travelling. Do you know her?' Fedrick looked down at Laila.

'Yeah. On TV.' Laila deadpanned.

'Excuse me?'

'Come on, Fedrick. She's a cartoon character- like Tom and Jerry. And if you tell me you don't what that is, I will punch you in the face.'

'Wow. How can you say something so cruel like that with a straight face?'

On the stairs which led them to their chambers, they met Helena who was apparently looking for them. She informed them that they were having a meeting and that witnesses from last night were required- which meant there was only one more person to get: Nick.

Fedrick led them to his and Nick's chamber. When they entered, Nick was sleeping on the couch holding a pillow, his warm brown hair at the front sticking up softly. A book lay on the floor next to him; it was still open. Fedrick went and picked up the book and placed it on the table. 'Yeah, he falls asleep sometimes.' He explained, his voice barely audible.

'I can see that. Aren't you going to wake him up, though? Why are we whispering?' Laila asked, her voice equally low. Nick shifted in his sleep. 'Wake him up, Fedrick.' Helena said in a normal voice, tapping her foot impatiently. 'Shh. Wait, watch.' Fedrick whispered still.

Right then, Nick rolled off the couch and landed with a thud, The sound was muffled by the thick carpet. He sat up straight on the floor immediately. He reminded Laila of Zoppy the day Fedrick had saved her. 'Oh, good morning, peeps.' He said as he smiled sheepishly. It appeared nothing could waver Nick's good mood.

'It's afternoon, but yeah, whatever. Get up, There's a meeting. Now.' Helena responded.

Nick got up and smoothed out his bright yellow t-shirt and placed the pillow back on the sofa. 'Okay, let me wash up. I'll be down in a few minutes. You guys can go ahead.' No one moved. 'You're kidding right? You get lost at least twice a day, Nick. We'll wait- anyway, they're expecting the four of us down. Together,' said Helena. Nick rushed to the bathroom.
