3rd Person POV:
After Inosuke dropped Zenitsu off at the nurse's office, the rest of the squad headed to the office waiting for their blond friend to wake up in anticipation.
Tanjiro had called Zenitsu's grandfather and explained the situation to him, and he was heading to the school to talk to the principal and Ms Tamayo.
The door opened and to the group's dismay it wasn't Zenitsu, but his cousin Kaigaku who looked panicked, which was quite shocking.
"You, sunshine boy, where's he? Where's Zen?" Kaigaku asked Tanjiro.
"Nurse's office," was all Tanjiro said.
"Why is he there? What happened I just got a call from the old man and everyone's talking about an incident that happened," he said.
Kanao spoke up," Zenitsu was choking a girl, so I had to knock him unconscious" it was simple and to the point.
Kaigaku's eyes widened, and he fell back in shock and needed to sit on a chair," He wouldn't, he wouldn't hurt a girl, he never-what" Kaigaku started mumbling to himself and around that time both Tamayo and Zenitsu's grandfather arrived.
His grandfather briskly walked over and whispered something to Kaigaku and he got up and left.
"If you kids would like to see him, he is a bit confused on what happened, please don't overwhelm him," Tamayo said softly.
Nezuko was the first to get up and walk towards the closed door and she took a deep breath and opened it, and sitting on the bed was Zenitsu rubbing his neck.
"Zenitsu," Nezuko said before she rushed and enveloped him in a large hug.
"Nezuko, uh do you know why I'm here?" he asked patting her back.
"Eh? You mean you don't know, Zenitsu?" she said leaving the hug.
"Sorry I don't, well not really, it's flashing, like it's blurry and I know something happened, but I don't know what, it's like something was possessing or controlling my body," he said shuddering.
"Aoi," Nezuko looks to her friend, Aoi just nods while scrolling through a medical diagnosis on her phone.
"Zenitsu, I'm sorry for knocking you unconscious," Kanao bows and profusely apologises.
"Oh, it was you who pinched me in the neck? No wonder it hurts so much, it's alright, you're very strong you know," he says chuckling a bit.
"Zenitsu, we need to talk," Aoi said looking dead serious. The smile on Zenitsu's face left and he searched the room before sighing.
"Talk about what?" He asked, eyes showing fear, anger and confusion all at once.
"Whatever's happening to you, we can't keep on trying to knock you unconscious and cover for you, if you want us to help you, you need to tell us what's going on," Aoi explained.
"Look, ai already told you, I don't know what's happening and I don't need any of your help cos I'm not doing anything," Zenitsu countered.
"Zenitsu, we-okay uhm, answer this then, why do you take pills and don't try to deny it because we all saw you swallowing a pill earlier," she questioned.
" It's none of your business, you don't need to know what that is and it doesn't concern you at all so I would really appreciate it if you all would just leave it," he exploded in the end, breathing heavily. He gives a glare but seeing the shocked faces of his friends his glare softens considerably and he whispers,"You all would hate me if I told you the truth, I'm sorry,"
He leaves the room and the only sound that was heard was the door closing after him and Zenitsu's brother and grandfather picking him up and driving off.
Nezuko stared at the spot where Zenitsu just sat laughing and smiling a while back.
"Why? Why do we need to question what our friend is doing? It's only happened once right, it doesn't mean that it's always going to happen, maybe he's going to get better or maybe that girl did something because he only attacked her out if everyone here," Nezuko tries to defend Zenitsu.
"Nezuko, that girl was telling the truth, I could smell it, and we can't leave it at this, if it happens again he could get expelled and he'd never come back here again, so we need to try our best to help Zenitsu even if it means wrecking whatever friendship we have with him," Tanjiro says.
Nezuko nods while massaging her temples trying to fight off the headache plaguing her.
"Maybe we should talk to the girl again, hopefully she can give us more information and maybe she could also help us," Kanao says.
"She won't help us, Monitsu literally attacked her, TWICE," Inosuke says.
"Yes, ZENITSU did attack her, but if you noticed when she was talking she didn't believe it herself, so if we explain what we think is going on with him, she should be able to help us, she WAS Zenitsu's friend right?" Aoi said.
"Then it's settled we're going to talk to her about this and get her helpt,"
