Two months had passed since that intense moment in Debbie's office, and Lou found herself in a complex web of emotions.
The magnetic pull between her and Debbie had only grown stronger, and their professional interactions had become increasingly charged with unspoken desire.
Lou had thrown herself into her work, determined to prove herself as a capable and dedicated editor. She had taken on challenging manuscripts, met tight deadlines, and navigated the intricate world of publishing with diligence.
She did everything to evoid Debbie because it was becoming unbearable to be in a room with her.
Lou was trying so hard to not embrace her desire and jump on Debbie's lips, but everytime it felt like Debbie was non—stopping flirting with her.
Always talking in her seductive voice, always saying things that had double meanings....
One evening, as the sun dipped below the New York skyline, Lou found herself alone in the office, wrapping up some final edits on a manuscript. It had been a long day, and she was looking forward to heading home when her phone buzzed with a message. It was from Debbie. "Can you come to my office for a moment? "
Debbie was looking at the window, her beautifull silhoutette, seemed craved by angles.
She looked up as Lou entered, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Lou, right on time."
Lou smiled back, her heart racing. "What can I help you with?"
Debbie gestured for her to take a seat, and Lou complied. "So there's a book fair in London next Saturday... and I'd like you to come with me."
"London?" Lou replied. "Why me? I mean, I'd be honored, but there are so many talented editors in the company."
Debbie leaned back ion the wall, her gaze never leaving Lou's. "I've been impressed with your dedication and your insights into our projects, Lou. Plus, I think it's time you got some exposure to the international literary scene. You have potential."
Lou's cheeks flushed. "Thanks..."
Debbie's smile was enigmatic as she continued, her voice taking on a low, seductive tone that sent shivers down Lou's spine. Well perfect then...

Lou couldn't deny that she found Debbie incredibly attractive, and the thought of spending a week with her in London was both thrilling and daunting.
