Later that night Debbie had turned her back to Lou and was sittingt in the end of the bed.
Lou sat behind her and gently carressed her shoulder.
"What's wrong ?"
Debbie remained silent for a moment, her shoulders tense. Then, in a quiet and vulnerable tone, she finally spoke, her voice barely more than a whisper. "I just wish I could control myself..."
Lou's hand continued to gently caress Debbie's shoulder as she asked softly, "I get it..."
Debbie turned to face Lou. "I just...I can't keep sleeping with you like that...it's unprofessional, it's against what I think, but yet you're here in my bed, and I can't resist you...and it's too good and...."
Lou looked into Debbie's eyes, her own filled with empathy. "Do you want me to leave ?"
"No...it's just, I should be able to controll myself."
Lou leaned in closer, her breath mingling with Debbie's. "Well...I kinda don't make it easy for you, you're not the only one to blame, you know ?"
Debbie's gaze softened, and she reached up to cup Lou's cheek. "Yeah...if you stopped looking at me with those blue eyes, maybe I would be able...to resist you..."
Lou smiled gently. "You don't have to think about that, hey we're in London, what happen in London stays in London...."
Debbie let out a soft chuckle, her fingers still caressing Lou's cheek. "I guess you're right. London can be our little secret."
Lou's lips curled into a mischievous smile. "Now do you want me to go, do you want me to stay here, or do you want to go for round three ?"
Debbie didn't respond but her eyes were speaking she slowly sat on Lou's lap and brushed her lips against Lou's.
Lou leaned in, in a gentle, lingering kiss. "Round three it is then.."

The book fair was bustling with activity as authors, publishers, and book enthusiasts gathered for the highly anticipated event. The game day, it was the final day and Lou and Debbie found themselves on the same team for a literary quiz, and they were determined to win.
"Debbie, we've got this. We're going to show them how it's done."
"They don't know yet...but we're going to kill it."
The quiz began, and the questions came thick and fast. Lou and Debbie were on fire, answering each question with confidence. They shared a secret communication, a glance here, a nod there, and their answers were always spot on.
The audience watched in awe as the duo dominated the quiz. Other teams struggled to keep up, but Lou and Debbie seemed to have an almost telepathic connection when it came to literary knowledge.
As the questions continued, their teamwork became even more evident. Debbie leaned over to whisper in Lou's ear,
"Lou, what was the pen name of the author who wrote 'To Kill a Mockingbird'?"
Lou grinned, her fingers dancing over the buzzer. "Harper Lee!" She answered with a triumphant smile.
Debbie high-fived her partner, and the crowd erupted in cheers. They were clearly the team to beat, and their competitors knew it.
Between questions, Debbie couldn't help but tease Lou.
"You're on fire today, is it last night that gave you that much energy ?" Lou laughed. "Oh you wish baby."
Debbie leaned closer, her voice low and playful.
"Well, keep those tricks coming, because we're going to win this thing."
