Friday, January 7th, 2011. 43 days after contact.

Tyler Rodriguez drove his car down the desert landscape. Sean tried to recall some dream he had the other night, where he ended up being trapped in a valley with no way out. The first thing that happened was he was eating a large bowl of Strawberry-sherbert ice cream before eventually being taken-

Those eyes...that laugh...that form. The teenager shuddered as he remembered the spider robot, Arachnid, snatching him away with her metal tentacles, with a malicious smile, and raising her claws to end his life. But before she could get the chance, Sean woke up from his nightmare.

Already while recalling his dream, Sean felt that chill return crawling down his spine, and that sinking feeling of dread...and guilt. Sure, it felt good initially when he fired the stolen shotgun at the alien robot, but now he knows that he signed his death warrant.

His dad, Tyler, felt bad for his son. Sean never deserves to be burdened with PTSD at such a young age.

Eventually, Tyler drove through the entrance and arrived at his usual parking spot. But what surprised Sean and his father was the suited African-American man standing by the sidewalk with his arms crossed. As soon as he locked eyes on them, Special Agent William Fowler walked over.

Tyler rolled down his window. "Morning, Sergeant Rodriguez," Fowler was the first to speak, "You ready for the meeting?"

"Are we having our meeting out here?" The drill instructor inquired, before being assured by the agent that nothing changed. Sean however was confused- he wasn't told that there was a meeting today.

As if on cue, both adults turned toward him, with his father speaking first. "Sorry for not telling you, Sean, but we're having a talk about your future with your school friends."

"So...we're not working out today?"

"We will, just after this, okay? Come on," his dad replied before opening his door to get out. Sean then nodded before getting out as well.

Agent Fowler led the two down a different route at the army base where Sean and Tyler usually go for the gym. Instead, they went left towards a small district with three-story brick buildings. Further down the path from these buildings were a series of hangars for general storage or aircraft.

"Oh, we have some 'guests' joining our meeting," the agent said before opening a door into one of the brick buildings.

Upon walking inside, the agent led them through a small lobby, before going up a small set of stairs to the second floor. Three doors to the right was his office. A brown desk covered with unopened paper files sat on the left while a sofa and file cabinet rested on the right. The sunlight gleamed from the back window into the room as Sean and Tyler were gestured to sit on the sofa.

"This is where you work? Didn't know you were close to Jasper," Sean Rodriguez whistled before gazing at the old photos hung on the wall. The agent chuckled before replying, "This isn't my main office, but it's reserved for government agents on site."

"So, how's your training been, Sean?" Agent Fowler asked the teenager, who narrowed his eyes. "How did you know we went to the gym?"

"I'm an agent for the government. I know and hear everything," he smirked before chuckling under his breath. Soon he began typing on his phone, and Sean noticed the screen showed a text message.

"So, who's joining us?"

"Friends of Sean and mine. Specifically, the alien robots that saved both of your lives back there."

Both the drill sergeant and his son looked at each other with wide eyes, more so for Sean. 'Optimus and the others will talk to us? That's amazing! I can't wait- hold on, Dad never met them besides Arcee.'
