Optimus Prime and Sean Rodriguez were shocked to hear this news, but the Autobot leader hid his initial reaction well. Another Cybertronian signal was coming into the solar system; that's not new, but it has been a while since someone else came from beyond the system's reach.

"Ratchet, can you hear me?" The blonde teenager asked the radio screen of the leader. As expected he got a response from the robot doctor. "I read you, Sean."

"Do you think that's Wheeljack coming back? Or if it's just another Decepticon signal?"

"At the moment, I can't identify its make due to the distance, and it appears to be heavily encrypted with some advanced security software."

This seemed off. Most of the teenager's common sense screamed that this could very well be a new threat, more likely a new tool or a dangerous Decepticon. Could it be someone like Arachnid? Or...someone like Soundwave? Starscream? Megatron?

"Have you contacted anyone else about this?" The leader asked the doctor through his radio. "No, Optimus. Only you and I know."

Sean then realized that his house was rapidly getting closer and closer. He only had time to ask one or two more questions before his parents expected him inside. He took a breath, and then started again: "Ratchet, did Wheeljack ever say he was working with anyone else, or if he was going to let any other Autobot, assuming there are more besides us, know about our situation on Earth?"

A silence ensued, but it thankfully only lasted a few seconds. "No, he was only scouring around the galaxy by himself. Wheeljack never mentioned any other Autobot he was working for."

By the time the Autobot doctor finished his reply, Optimus Prime had already stopped at the front lawn of Sean's house. The teenager gathered his backpack while unbuckling his seatbelt. Optimus then asked another question that was also in the back of the human's mind: "What is the signal's current trajectory?"

"From what I gather so far, the signal appears to be on a path towards Mars, the planet further back from Earth, but in between the bigger of the gas giant planets. My current calculations suggest the eta of this signal is about two solar cycles, or two Earth days for you, Sean. I'll keep you posted, Optimus."

"Very well. Ratchet, inform the others about this. Optimus out," the leader said before closing the comms. By then, Sean had already opened the door for him and jumped onto the ground. "What do you think this means?" He asked the truck.

"I'm not sure, Sean, but regardless we might have a new visitor in your system. I'll keep you updated on any new information."

And with that, the teenager thanked him before giving him a farewell and heading back inside his house.

The teenager would be greeted with a hug from his father and a good dinner: meatloaf and potatoes with veggies. While he and his family enjoyed watching some sports on television, Sean told them about his experience, especially the speech given by Optimus to him.

'Family? Wouldn't only Tyler, the dad, know about it and not Charlotte as well?' Well, that's what I mean. Whenever she was away and doing chores somewhere else in the house, Sean would quietly tell his father about his experiences at the base.

Anywho, Tyler is impressed at how Sean was complimented on his fearlessness by the Autobot leader. To even be compared to the likes of the alien special forces? That's a huge honor, even for a high school human teenager.

TWO DAYS LATER...

As the days passed, Ratchet kept a careful eye on this new signal. New information would come every now and then; for the last 40 hours since the announcement, the signal was found to be coming from an object with its own engine, but surprisingly it diverted its direction and had curved around Mars. The current location, which was mapped by both the base's systems as well as satellite imagery from the United States government, is now pointing towards the Earth.
