Hello to all my readers and followers from around the world, I hope your day is going well. Here in Arizona, USA, it's getting warmer with 105 degrees Fahrenheit everyday (40.5 Celsius), but it's all good here. I know for those who don't live with those temperatures in the summer it sounds almost crazy and downright awful, but I'm pretty much used to it.
Progress on the story has been slow recently. I know I always take breaks that last at least a few weeks before getting back to work, but now I'm getting back into the grind. And knowing what comes next for the transformers show and story, it's going to be a BIG grind.
So that's why I decided to make a small prologue episode below, which takes place shortly before the "One shall fall" episode. It will add some small details and context as to how the transformers know about the Unicron prophecy that is to come, as well as some bits into the humans' lives at Jasper. It's what I call "the calm before the storm."
Also, before I get into the chapter, I recently got back on a cruise ship vacation for the first time. I traveled around the Caribbean Sea for five days before returning to Miami port in Florida (this was almost two weeks ago). One of the major highlights was seeing the Icon of the seas ship up close on departure day. As of now (probably until later this decade) it's the biggest cruise ship in the world.
BEGIN CHAPTER
Friday, January 14th, 2011.
It has been a couple of days since the incident happened. It freaked out the humans so much that they regularly checked on the Energon storage twice daily to ensure it wasn't low enough for another Energon run. Rafael Esquivel even searched multiple locations of deposits and abandoned mines just to alleviate any concerns about the possibility of another attack by the Decepticons.
When they all returned to Jasper in separate homes, the four human teenagers felt relieved that their Autobot guardians had solved the Energon crisis. All that stress and anxiety, however, would come back to haunt them. Rafael even had a small panic attack while searching for those other Energon deposits, so much so that Bumblebee and everyone else had to calm him down.
Sean and Jack, being the oldest of the four, kept their stress to themselves. However, that didn't work as well, as their alien robot allies could tell their partners were also traumatized because of their body language. They didn't need any built in scanners within themselves or the monitors nearby to detect their anxiety.
Regardless the teenagers managed to calm down, but signs of distress still remained; that of the PTSD from that day as well as throughout their journey with the Autobots. But nearly losing their alien guardians to a lack of Energon was one of the worst experiences, rivaled by Optimus and Arcee nearly freezing to death in the Arctic while the Scraplets invaded the base.
Of course, there were plenty of other traumatizing experiences for the teenagers individually, but altogether? It was either one of those two events.
Ever since that day, Sean Rodriguez's nightmares have only grown worse and more frequent, now almost happening every night. His father was then told what happened, so he decided to bring him to the gym almost daily at the base just to help him take his frustration out during the exercise routine.
Today? It was no different.
"Huh, that's interesting," Rafael whistled to himself while looking on his laptop. Initially, he was working on some homework with a math calculator. But as for now, he was taking a break and looking on the news.
"Yep, this is one of the pinnacles of the entire show! Now, this is where the show starts to get more awesome!" Miko exclaimed and nearly jumped off the couch. For the past few hours, she had Dragon Ball Z play on the TV. The series had progressed since Raditz's attempted attack on his brother and friends. Now? They're on an alien world to revive all those who were slain by two other Saiyans that arrived on Earth to seize the dragon balls: Vegeta and Nappa.
