Chuuya and Tachihara had work to do. Someone had tried to kill Gogol while he was in a secure hunting dogs holding cell, and they'd very nearly succeeded. That was something that Chuuya found alarming, to say the least. Everything Chuuya remembered about the time Dostoevsky had taken him was a blur. He had a vague recollection of Gogol being kind to him. Obviously Chuuya still had some pretty big reservations about the guy, but he didn't want to see him dead before he figured out exactly how they knew each other.

"We need to think of a list of people that would want Gogol dead." Chuuya said. He'd pulled out a notepad, and was prepared to stick his findings to a cork board if need be. "I think it'd be easier to come up with a list of people that don't." Tachihara said. Chuuya had to admit he was right. Gogol hadn't exactly ended up as mister popularity when everything was said and done.

"I think we can safely put the actual decay of angels up there." Chuuya said. Tachihara nodded, and twisted his ear piercing around. Before Chuuya learned his boyfriend was an undercover member of the hunting dogs, he'd always thought it was just an artistic choice that he wore so many earrings. Now that Chuuya knew he controlled metal, he knew it was more of a strategic choice.

"Who else?" Tachihara asked. "It has to be someone who can control water, judging by the state of his lungs. What I don't understand is why they'd let him live, though." Chuuya frowned. "Do you think it was meant as a warning?" He asked. "That doesn't really seem like the decay of angels style." Tachihara bit his lip. "I'm not as much worried that the attempt on Gogol's life was a warning," he said grimly, "as it was a diversion."

Chuuya's sapphire eyes widened. "Where's Jouno?" He asked. Whatever the decay of angels wanted with Jouno, presumably they hadn't gotten it yet. He was still alive after all. And he'd made it pretty damn clear he'd never help them willingly. "No idea." Tachihara said. He paused, and checked his phone. "Oh, wait." He said, both incredulous, and fearful. "The door to Fukuchi's cell just opened." Chuuya sighed. "What do you want to bet?"
