Cassandra's POV:
"Leslie I swear to god! I will fire you if you do this one more time!" I scolded the 16 year old boy working in my restaurant.
"I-I'm sorry ma'am" he said, his gaze on the floor. This was the third time he spilled the juices while carrying it to the customer.
"There is a limit Les. I can only bear so much" I said sternly. "I promise I'll do better. Just one last chance" he begged.
"Only because your sister is a good friend of mine. Now go back to work" I ordered. He mumbled a quick 'thank you' and left.
My head hurts. This daily drama is too much for me. I need a fucking head massage now.
Just then, my phone rang, Silas' name popping on the screen. A smile immediately formed on my face.
"Hello baby" I said as I picked up the phone. "C-Cas!" Silas was panting, his breathing heavy; almost like as if he was crying.
"What's wrong darling?" I asked, immediately sitting up straight in my seat. "E-Evan. We can't find him" he said.
"Can't find him?" I asked, already packing up my stuff and leaving my office. I signaled to the manager of my restaurant that I was leaving.
"He left his college three hours ago, and we still can't find him" Silas said. My baby's been missing for three hours?!
"Did you ask his friends?" I asked, now seated in my car. "Yes. Miguel called them all. But he's not with them."
"Okay baby. I need you to calm down for me okay? I'm on my way. I'll be there soon" I said softly.
"Okay" Silas said. I could hear him taking deep breaths. "Good boy. Continue doing just that love" I said, encouraging him.
Soon, I reached home. I didn't even lock my car and just busted in the house. Silas was on the couch, his phone to his ear.
"Cassandra!" he exclaimed, rushing towards me. He threw himself on me and I wrapped my arms around him immediately.
"Cas?" Miguel walked in from the kitchen. I could see the worry and tension in his eyes. "Come here baby" I said, opening my arms wider.
I gave both my boys and group hug before pulling away. "I've tried everything Cas. But he's just not there!" Mig exclaimed.
"Okay. Let's file a missing person report" I said. They both nodded and we rushed to my car.
--------
"Ma'am, are you sure he didn't just run away?" the police officer asked me. "Run away? He has no reason to run away!" I said.
"Maybe a girlfriend or something? You're getting what I mean right?" the officer said. I clenched my jaw in anger.
"Just do your fucking job and find me my baby!" I screamed. "This is a police station. Not your house. So keep your voice low" the officer said.
I was going to kill her if it wasn't for Miguel placing a hand on my shoulder. He's the most calm and collected amongst all of us.
"Officer please. He's now been gone for 4 hours. Can you at least track his phone?" he asked politely.
She rolled her eyes at that but nonetheless, asked one of the other officers to track Evan's phone. Rude bitch.
"It seems like his phone is still active. It also appears that he is still in New York" she said after a while. I took a breath of relief.
"Where is he?" Silas asked. "Central Park" she said. "But that's like, 2 hours away from his college" Miguel said.
"Look, you asked for his location, I gave it to you. Now you can go and find him. If he's still not there, come back" she said and dismissed us.
"Since when did the police become like this?" Mig asked as we left the station. "I'll get her fired" I said, determined.
It took us a while, but we reached Central Park. We decided to split up so that we can cover more ground in less time.
1 hour later, and all of us came back with nothing. "There's only the west side left now" Silas said. We walked through the path, calling for Evan's name.
But what I didn't expect to see, was a drunk and high Evander, dancing shamelessly with a naked statue.
"EVANDER!" I shouted, getting all the attention from the party on me. "Cas!" he exclaimed, jumping down from the statue and coming to hug me.
"You're drunk" I said, pulling him away from me. "You want some?" he pointed to a table with alcohol bottles.
"Are you high?" Silas asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "It's fun dude! You should try some" Evan said, swaying on his feet.
I clenched my jaw, anger bursting through my veins. "You're gonna get punished for this" Miguel spoke the words before I could.
He looked irritated. Considering that he is the most collected amongst us all, this basically means that Evan's in big trouble.
"Oh come on! I can't have some fun?" Evan asked, giving us cute puppy eyes. But I wasn't having it. "We're going home" I said, pulling him with me.
"Nooo! I wanna partyyy!" he whined, sitting on the floor and throwing tantrums like a 5 year old child. I sighed, looking at Silas.
Silas picked him up, throwing him over his shoulder. Evan thrashed around in Silas' arms, but his grip was strong.
"Why are you all ruining my fun?" Evan asked once we were seated in the car. "Just shut up. You're in a lot of trouble already" Silas said.
By the time we reached home, Evander was already passed out in the backseat.
"Take him in. I need to prepare the punishment" I ordered my other two subs, before walking out of the car and straight into my playroom.
