Silas' POV:
I woke up to light sniffling around me. Someone's crying? I slowly opened my eyes, blinking to get adjusted to the sunlight in the room.
"Evan?" I softly called, making out his sleeping form beside me. My eyes snapped open when I realized it was him who was crying.
"Why are you crying baby?" I asked, picking him up and placing him on my lap. He buried his face in my neck, sobbing.
"Evander, please tell me love. What's wrong?" I asked, rubbing soothing circles on his back. He started crying louder. His sobs broke my heart.
"M-Mig and C-Cas left us" he sobbed. Confused, I furrowed my eyebrows. "Left us?" I asked, wanting an answer.
Evan nodded. "They were h-here last night. And now t-they are gone" he sobbed. Relief washed over me as I realized what was happening.
Evan's in sub space. And sub space Evan is clingy. He always needs all three of us around him or else he starts crying.
"They haven't left us baby. They are probably downstairs making breakfast" I said, pecking his temple. But he shook his head. "Show me then!" he demanded.
So I did. I picked him up, not caring about the fact that he was still naked, and walked downstairs, where the other two were actually cooking.
"See? They're right there" I pointed out, making sure Evan saw them. Cassandra saw us and a wide smile spread on her face.
"Morning boys!" she greeted. But as her eyes fell on Evan's red eyes and tear stained face, he smile turned into a frown.
"Why is my baby crying? What did you do Silas?" she demanded, as if it was ME who had done something wrong.
"First of all, don't you both dare blame me" I said, shifting my gaze between Mig and Cas as they both glared at me now.
"Secondly, it wasn't me who left a sub space, clingy Evan all alone to think that we had left him. So to answer your question, I didn't do anything. I in fact, helped him" I replied.
Realization swam through both of their faces and a slight pinch of guilt appeared in their eyes. Miguel walked forward, pecking Evan's cheek.
"I'm sorry baby. I was just making you something to eat" Mig said, giving Evan a small, genuine, loving smile. A smile cracked on Evan's face too. Then he looked at Cassandra.
"Yes, I'm sorry too. But look what I was making!" Cas reasoned, showing us her hands. Evan gasped, jumping down from my grip and rushing towards her.
"Brownies!" Evan exclaimed, immediately grabbing one. Cas laughed at his childlike actions, pecking his forehead. Suddenly, Evan froze.
He looked up at Cas, blinking guiltily. Cas raised a brow. "What did you do baby?" she asked. He pouted. "I forgot to brush" he said.
They both stared into each other's eyes intensely. Cas with sternness, and Evan with a scared baby face. Me and Miguel looked at each other, and that was the last straw.
We burst out laughing at the silly scene in front of us. "Oh my god" Mig laughed, holding his stomach. I had to wipe my tears from my eyes too.
"Oh fuck off!" Cas showed us the middle finger before walking away. "Can we fuck you instead?" I asked, cracking up at my own line. Cringe. I know.
"Sil, Mig" Evan called softly, looking at us with his baby glare. God! I love him in sub space. "Relax love. It's just a joke" Miguel said, smiling wide.
Evan huffed. "I'm gonna go behind Cas" he said, turning his head away and walking behind her. But my eyes widened as I saw where Cas was.
"Evan no!" I shouted, running forward and grabbing him back. "Lemme go!" he whined. But I held him tight. As a result, his eyes started to water.
