Pale Ink is an academic work by Henriette Mertz (1898-1985), an American lawyer, patent agent, and ancient historian who argued in her book that Shan Hai Jing described the geography of the Americas. She set off on a journey to investigate the mountains according to the book, just like an ancient Chinese traveler, with a backpack and her own two feet to measure and survey.

The author referenced Chinese ancient books Liang Si Gong Ji and Shan Hai Jing, as well as a large number of studies from previous people on the cultural exchanges between ancient Asia and the Americas, combined with recent archaeological discoveries and American indigenous legends, and verified through field visits, demonstrating that Chinese people had visited the American continent multiple times before Columbus discovered it, and had a deep impact on the local cultures and religions.

Her method was: if the Chinese ancients in Shan Hai Jing said to go east, then she went east, if they said to go 300 miles, then she went 300 miles, and see what she could find. After several failures, she slowly followed the recorded mountain system, rivers and distances between mountains, and finally achieved success. She verified the Rocky Mountains in the Midwest and West, the Nevada Mountains, the Cascade Mountains, and the coastal Pacific Mountains, all of which coincided exactly with the four mountain systems, peaks, rivers, animals, and distances between mountains recorded in the Eastern Mountain Classic...

Shan Hai Jing, an ancient book from the pre-Qin period, with unknown authors, is an ancient Chinese classic that records mythology, geographical knowledge, animals and plants, products, folk customs, etc. But many people believe that Shan Hai Jing is a true record of ancient times. Henry Mertz's Pale Ink brings together ancient Chinese characters, ancient Chinese wisdom, and ancient Chinese spirit, especially the contents about the geography of the Americas recorded in Shan Hai Jing, which is astonishingly similar to what we find today.

So I always think that myths and stories are actually the records of gods/high-dimensional beings.
