New Beginning Bucky Barnes

Chapter One

I never would have guessed that I Y/N would be working for the Avengers, but I'm here in this amazing lab. Oh, did I forget to induce myself. Hi, I'm Y/N Y/L/N. I'm 18 years old. I got into MIT when I was 15 years old. Then, recruit by Tony stark. YES, I SAID TONY STARK! Iron Man himself. I've been working here for about 4 months now. I have only met Tony and Bruce. Tony is in and out a lot. He has family. His wife Pepper and his daughter Morgan. Bruce is always here, but he keeps to himself, you know the big guy. So mostly it's just me and my thoughts. It can be kinda scary at times, but I'm use it by now. Little back story. I'm an only child, and my parents were killed in a car wreck when I was 12 years old. So, in and out of forst care most of my life until I turned 18, then month after that I graduated and moved into the compound 2 weeks later. It's been crazy 4 months. I haven't met any of the other Avengers there out on mission. "At the very next moment, F.R.I.D.A.Y came through." F.R.I.D.A.Y Miss Y/N, Tony wanted me to tell you that everyone will be back tomorrow morning. Oh, thanks, F.R.I.D.A.Y. "Wow, I can't believe I'll be meeting everyone tomorrow." You finished up with your new upgrades for new suit, then you went to your room.

Next morning:
You came downstairs with your earphones on listening to Katie Perry. You were making coffee and dancing around the kitchen, and then you felt a tip on your shoulder. It scared you, and you scream "ahh" turn around, and who is standing there, Steve Rogers Captain America. "You're in shocked, and you pulled coffee all over the floor." Oh my, I'm so sorry. You bent down to clean it up, then stood up too quick and hit your hand. Oh, that hurt. Steve gives you his hand and helps you help. Are you okay, Miss? I'm Y/N Y/L/N. "Puts your hand out to shake his." Miss Y/L/N, are you okay? You interrupted him. Just Y/N, please. "He gives you a smile." Y/N, are you okay? Yeah, I'm good. It's nice to meet you, Captain America. You can call me Steve. Can I ask why you are here and half naked? "It hits you that you're in shorts and tang top." Oh, umm, sorry again. I'm the new tech. I'm going to get dressed and be right back. "You go upstairs and put on seat pants and shirt, then come back down. You saw Natasha Romanoff, Sam Wilson, Wanda Maximoff, Clinton Barton, and then you saw this mystery guy over in the corner. You have no idea who he is, but he has these amazing blue eyes. You were so force of them that you didn't see the next step, and you fell down the stairs. Everyone stops and looks." Nat rushs over. Oh my, are you okay? Helps you up. Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just clumsy. I'm Y/N Y/L/N, by the way. It's nice to meet all of you. "You're eyes, and the mystery guys' blue eyes kept locked on each other." Tony-oh, good, everyone is here, and you guys met Y/N. She joined us 4 months ago as the new tech, but let me make one thing clear she is off limits to everyone. "You stand there confused." Kate, why don't you go back to the lab, and you'll be able to meet everyone tonight for the party. Oh, alright. See everyone later. "As you're walking back to the lab, you're still confused about why Tony said,"but let me make one thing clear she is off limits to everyone." You were lost in thought and didn't know someone was standing in your doorway. You spin around in your chair, and you see the blue-eyed mystery guy, and you jumped." Oh, I'm sorry I didn't see you were. What can I help you with? "He throw down his coms." Can you fix these or not? Yeah, I can. Umm, "you stuttered for the first time in years." What do you want? "Pops off with attitude." I was just going to ask you for your name, is all. So I know who to get these back to. "He stands there for a minute, confused on how I didn't know who he was." I'm James Buchanan Barnes, but everyone calls me Bucky. "He turns and leaves you."

"You go back to work, and you fixed his coms for him. You saw the time and remember that you need to get ready for the party tonight." Nat- Hi Y/N, are you going to go to the party? Yeah, if I can find something to wear. Nat- I have a few dresses. Come with me, and I'll help you find something. "She gave you a few dresses, and you felt kind of uncomfortable in them because they showed a lot, and they were tight." Umm, Nat, do you have any other dresses? "She handing you this one and put it on. You felt very powerful and beautiful in it. It was this beautiful red dress that tied in the front, and the straps were on your shoulder, and it was just right above your knees. You walked out." Nat- that is the dress 100%. Thank you, Nat. So I noticed that you were looking at James earlier. "You stopped and turned red." Well...umm...I just noticed his blue eyes. She was like, "Do you have a crush? "You stumbled." What? No. That's crazy. Let's go to the party.

"You guys get there, and Nat goes in first and stops and takes a deep breath in before walking through the doors. You walk in, and all eyes were on you, but you were searching for just a pair of blue eyes bur nowhere to be found."
Steve- Y/N, you look lovely tonight. Can
I get you drink? Yes, please. Rum and coke. "He brings it back." Thank you. So are all Tony's party's are like this? Yeah, they are. Are you not a party person? Oh no, I'm not. I would rather be in my room reading. This is all new to me. Wanda - Aren't you like 18? You didn't party at all? No, I really kept to myself.
"Everyone is asking you questions, and they were all around you. You started to feel like you were going to have a panic attack. So you ran outside. You sat down and felt like you couldn't breathe. Someone noticed and came out after you. Bucky, he sat down in front of you, and he could see that you couldn't catch your breath. So, he kissed you. Somehow, that helped you. Both sat there for a minute, and then he got up and walked back in. You're sitting there speechless." Then you whispered, thank you.

"It's been a week since the party. Since your kiss with Bucky. Since your first kiss with anyone. You have no one talk to."
Nat- Hey Y/N, you want to get lunch?
"She startled at first." Yes, I would like that. "You guys went out to this small cafe." Nat- Y/N, where did you run off the other night? You never came back? Oh, it was a lot of people around me that night and started to get a panic attack. So I went outside. I thought that would have helped me, but it didn't. Bucky actually helped me. "Nats eye brow went up." Really now? How did he help you? "Without even thinking it just came out." He kissed me. Somehow, that helped my force on my breathing, and he stayed with me for a few minutes, then he left. I haven't since him since to tell him thank you. "You had a smile on your face the whole time talking about him." Nat - you can go up to him and talk to him Y/N. Oh no, I can't do that. Nat - why's that? Because if we talk and I let him. I'm just going to disappoint him. I'm not a fun person to date or even think about dating me. So, trust me, it's better this way. Oh, we should be getting back. "The care ride back was quiet, and you just kept to yourself." Thank you again, Nat, for lunch. Nat - you're welcome. "You head back to your lab. You didn't notice this at the time, but Bucky was watching you."

Nat - Just go talk to her, Bucky.
Bucky - We both know I can't. You heard Tony she's off limits.
Nat - Well, that didn't stop you from kissing her.
"He sits there, confused." She told you?
"She shakes her head, yes. Nat - Talk to her.
