YOUR EYES LIT UP
AT THE GLITTERING ASSEMBLY...

In front of you. The lobby was lively, bustling with people and bots not-so-much alike, LED lights, signs and starry carpeted floors complemented the main area.

It brought you a sense of nostalgia to be here. It was the definition of childhood. Colorful in a way that dulls with age. It was almost sad to think about childhood and how the saturated happiness you once had turned into something so numb and grey.

A sigh accompanied by a newfound sense of loss and grief greets you.

'Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, (Y/N).'

Deciding to push those feelings deep down, you search for anybody who could direct you towards your boss, Angelo who had hired you to gain directions for your first shift in the daycare, as the assistant manager.

Just as you were about to step into the elevator on the main floor, a large bot emerged from seemingly nowhere, spooking you enough to yelp and weakly thwap the back of your hand into a large hunk of metal.

"Please take a map." Its monotone voice urged you, and you removed your hand from the unphased bots face. It was a simple yellow and white bot. You took a moment to once-over the large 'i' painted on its chest plate, its pair of circular glasses and its cute sun hat, as you attempted to calm your rapidly beating heart.

"Take a map." It repeated, dropping the 'please' as you stood there in shock. You were very easily spooked, one of your many flaws in life unfortunately, even once coming close to a heart attack from a pop-out birthday card.

Blinking, you recuperate and place your fingers on the layered twisted map in the cold hands of the machine, smiling up at it. "Thank you!"

Tugging once, the bot didn't budge. Strange. So you tugged for a second time, the grip it had on the piece of paper tightening.

"Please, take a map." It glitched, and you nervously chuckled, tugging at it thrice, watching its lanky arm shake with your pulling.

"I'm trying! If you could just let it go?" You hinted, pointing at the map being held and crushed in the map bot's grip. "Please?"

'Fucking broken bot, give me the map!', Was the equivalent of that sentence in your head.

"Ple-ease, take a map." It replied, smacking its hand forward into your chest and pushing down onto your plush skin.

Getting pissed off, you attempted to take the map once more. The hand holding it didn't so much as move an inch and you groaned.

Frustration bubbled up in your body, and you glared at the animatronic, raising your leg to kick it harshly. It wasn't deterred by your petty assault and continued to insist you take a map, which at that point had you bursting with anger.
