I gently carried Aria back to her room, carefully placing her on the bed and tucking her in with the blanket.

She stirred in her sleep, a small frown forming on her face before she settled back into a peaceful slumber.

My hand instinctively reached out to touch her forehead once more, checking to see if her fever had subsided. I breathed a sigh of relief as her skin felt cooler to the touch.

Aria's phone on the nightstand was buzzing incessantly with notifications from various social media platforms and someone named Tina.

I recalled that Tina was her manager, so I decided to give her a call.

"Hello, this is Rohan, Aria's husband," I introduced myself.

"Oh, hello! What can I do for you?" Tina inquired.

"Aria isn't feeling well at the moment, so I was wondering if we could postpone any shoots or commitments she might have tomorrow," I explained, glancing at Aria to make sure she was okay.

"Understood, I'll see what I can reschedule. Should I arrange a doctor's visit for her?" Tina asked.

"You're actually speaking to a doctor right now, I'll take care of her, don't worry," I laughed.

"Oh, right! Please take good care of her. Thanks!" Tina said before ending the call.

I made the decision to remain by her side, vigilant in case her fever took a turn for the worse. Aria's chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, her hair cascading beautifully across the pillow. I couldn't resist the urge to tenderly brush a strand of hair away from her peaceful face.

Fatigue gradually overcame me due to the long hours spent in the surgery room earlier in the day. My eyelids grew heavy, and I found myself on the verge of drifting off to sleep as I sat next to her bed.

The gentle rays of sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a warm glow over her.

Eventually, I stirred from my slumber, my back aching from the uncomfortable position in which I had slept. Aria remained in a deep sleep, her breathing steady as I stretched to alleviate the stiffness in my muscles.

Checking her forehead once more, I noted with relief that her fever had subsided. It was a small victory, but it eased my worry.

Aria stirred as I was about to settle back into my chair, her eyes fluttering open.

"Hey, you're awake," I greeted her softly.

She blinked at me with sleepy eyes, her expression a mix of surprise and gratitude.

"You stayed here the whole night?" she inquired, her voice filled with disbelief.

"Like I mentioned, I'm a doctor, so it's only natural that I take care of you," I reassured her.
