It was approaching the end of September, thus the crisp winds of fall blew leaves of trees and the grass welcomed a softer darker shade to itself. Within the bookshop we've come to know so well sat Esetrel now 7 years old, if he were human at least. He could properly speak now and even come to like the neighboring shops to his Pa's shop. The coffee shop where he could see Ms. Nina and get eccels cakes being his favorite shop. He had come to love food, the different tastes, smells, and textures. He didn't need to eat but Aziraphale ate and so Estrel thought he should too, sometimes if he was lucky he could get Crowley to eat a little.
Right now Estrel was in the book shop reading a book that was definitely too advanced for a six year old bit he was easily able to grasp the concepts and words. The only thing faster than his growth was his search for more knowledge, whether it be from Crowley's music or Aziraphale's books. He loved both dearly, probably more than food.
"I'm quite terribly sorry but that book isn't for sale."
Aziraphale was currently talking to a guest who had never been to the book shop.
"This is a book shop thought? Why don't you sell books? "
The guest seemed more confused than anything, then a soft bell rang and the guest put the book down and left.
Estrel got up, setting the now forgotten book to the side.
"Everything ok pops? "
He looked up at his Angel of a parent, confused and slightly worried about what had just happened.
"Oh Estrel, I didn't see you there. Yes everything is ok. The man just wanted a book that wasn't for sale and decided to leave since he couldn't buy it. "
Aziraphale didn't lie, but he didn't tell his son that he used his powers to miracle the man to not want to be in the shop.
"Alrighty. Is Dad coming by today? I haven't seen him in a little bit. "
"He actually is, he's been busy looking to get new plants for the shop. "
"That makes sense."
That however true it may seem was a lie. Crowley was currently in hell, having to deal with Beelzebub's curiosity on Estrel. Demons had told the duke about a child that was in the care of the two out casts.
"So the thing you've been watching is a human? "
Beelzebub sat upon their throne, flies buzzing around them as the looked down on Crowley not believing anything he said.
"Yes, a fully human child. He was left on the doorstep of the bookshop."
Crowley was thankful only himself and Aziraphale could tell what Estrel was due to him being their spawn.
"Alright. If you say so. Out then. "
Beelzebub shooed Crowley out, then called a demon to his side. The demon was covered in sores and open wounds as most are, his eyes were dark brown almost black his hair was a curly mess only falling just ubove his shoulders. His frame was tall and slim, sharp edges with no real curves defining him. His clothes hung loosly from him. A simple black button up tucked into dark trousers, a few rips and tears in each. His most defining feature was a deep gash from his right temple to his left lower jaw.
"Yes my Lord? "
He answered in a raspy tone, moving into Beelzebub's frame of vision.
"Follow Crowley. Watch from afar and if you ever get a chance"
He paused making sure Crowley was out of hell
"Take the child. Bring him to me. "
"Yes my lord. "
The demon left and started his hunt, first he made sure he blended in with the humans, changing his appearance. He cleared most of the scars only unable to remove the gash on his face. He tidied his hair and now adorned a black suit.

Crowley walked into the shop, never really needing permission as he always was welcomed.
"Dad! "
Estrel came running once he saw who walked in, jumping up to hug Crowley.
"Did you find any new plants? "
"Ah, I actually did. What was your favorite plant again? "
Crowley had figured that Aziraphale made up the story of Crowley getting plants for the shop or at least for Estrel, as they couldn't quite explain anything yet.
"Dadd really! You got me lavender? "
"I sure did"
After a quick miracle, a lavender plant was now outside, not by Crowley but by Aziraphale who had been watching and waiting his turn to talk to Crowley.
"Go check outside Estrel, I should have a turn to talk to your dad too. "
Aziraphale chuckled as Estrel excitedly ran outside and examined his new plant.
"What happened? Do they know? "
Aziraphale looked at Crowley worried, Crowley responded after removing his sunglasses and getting a bottle of wine.
"No, no they don't know what he is they just know he's here and they think he's human. "
Crowley spoke while pouring himself a glass, then offering it to Aziraphale who shook his head in response.
"That's better than nothing I guess. "
Aziraphale walked to the door and his heart almost dropped when all he saw was a beautiful healthy lavender plant and no Estrel.
He rushed out of the shop.
"Estrel? Estrel! "
Aziraphale worrily scanned the crowd not seeing his son anywhere. Crowley rushed out of the shop after the commotion snapping and his shades covered his eyes again.
"Where is he?"
He asked his angel frantically, his angel only kept looking around before speaking.
"I-I don't know. "
"Shit."
Was all Crowley could say as no one seemed to notice what happened...
