Its been a week since Kai and I had our 'date' or thats what I called it anyway I dont know about her. She was warming up to me and I was falling deeper and deeper. She had been to my house 5 times this week and I loved it, I loved sitting in my room with her snuggled into my chest watching a collective group of movies and tv shows on Netflix.
Which is exactly what we were doing at this moment in time. She sighed "I don't want to go home calum" she flinched every time she said my name, which I totally get. My grip on her tightened "then don't" I suggested looking down at her but she didnt notice.
She laughed "but I have to" I turned on my side "no you dont" I persisted rubbing the bruises on her arm from her encounters with her dad this week. "Calum" she flinched "Kai" I said back "why do you like me" she questioned fiddling with my comforter "your a good preson and a great friend" "we've been 'friends' for a week and the first time we spoke I was a total prick" I sighed now know what she meant by her previous question "you wanna know why I like you, like, like like you" she laughed and tapped her nose a few times, another way of saying 'yes' in Kai language.
"How'd you know" my cheeks growing red she sat up and gave me a look at said 'really' I rubbed the back of my neck "is it really that obvious" she moved her head from side to side and then smiled "yeah, its really obvious, I mean not that im surprised, I am pretty great" she said tilting her head up and flipping her braid off her shoulder in a dramatic manner.
"That's why" I beamed "you put up all these walls but really you just want someone you can confide in someone you can trust, you use this badass persona when in reality your the exact opposite, no offense" she just stared at me "too much at one time?" I questioned, she still didn't answer. Instead she scooted closer to me forcing me to mirror how she was sitting, and she just kept getting closer
I leaned in my stomach on fire, we were so close our breaths were mixing, I closed my eyes and waited for our lips to touch and when they didn't, I kept my eyes close and I felt her breath on my ear "thanks cal" she didn't flinch. She sat back down in her original spot and a huge smile on her face "goddamn you" I said breathless.
It felt like all the blood had drained from my body and I laid back down "now im definitely not letting you go home tonight" I huffed and the smiled " who said I was going to" she knew how to drive me crazy.
Wow okay editing didnt take as long as I thought it would. Im thinking about changing the POV to calum, but that seems like so much work and if new people want to read the book and it just changes in the middle.
That's gotta be confusing, but hey what do I know right
Also Im thinking about actually naming the chapter, but idek
Let me know what I should do for chapter 11 cause I dont know
