"Jen your father is alive .........i-....his name is kim yoonji. The king of Daegu and one of the top businessman in Korea. He is your father and my husband" jen's mouth hang open as she was way too shocked to speak  she said "eomma this is not a k-drama stop joking......please" she pleaded

"she is not joking jen" said sana "you knew" that's all jen could say to sana and she turned her face away from her to look at her mother "jen I also have a son.....his name is mingyu.....I have three children you, sana and mingyu.... you all are from yoonji"

"I- I.... I am the queen of Daegu and the only wife of yoonji..... me and sana have always been in touch with your father and brother"

"wha ......whattt?? i-" jen was way too heartbroken to even speak . words were not ready to flow out of her mouth. she was heartbroken not only from the fact that such an important truth has been hidden from her but from also the fact that her mother and sister were in contact with her father and brother since forever while she didn't even know they existed.

"I'm so sorry my baby I didn't I never had the courage to tell you this" rubyjane and Sana broke down crying , Jen was way too stunned ,shocked,confused,angry and most importantly hurt to react all did was let her tears flow down her cheeks. after collecting her strength she asked in a low broken voice "why?"

"jen it is the ritual of our royal family that as soon as daughters are born the mother has to take her away from the royal palace within 3 years and return back when the daughter has turned 20 sana and you have exactly 5 year gap and i was supposed to leave the palace when she was 2 year old but u can a sudden miscarriage at that time so i was not able to so your father insited to stay for longer, it took me long to recover but again when i was supposed to leave it turned out that i was pregnant with you my baby so i was not supposed to leave until you were 1 year old, and how could i send away sana? so we decided to leave when you turn 1 and we did exactly that sana and mingyu were 6 at that time therefore they remember everything"

"but you my child were only 1 year old and not risk our security we decided to not tell you till you were 20 as per the ritual"

"ik you have longed for a father but jen it was important for everyone's security your father and brother have always watches you over, they may not have been physically present but they have always adored you from a distance"

"please forgive all of us jen please" pleaded sana

"unnie i need time idk how much time but i did it ,i can't look at you the same way i used to"

"miss rubyjane i want to meet your husband and your son" said jen

"sure jen you can meet them tomorrow" said mother

"i will go and sleep now" saying this jen ran up the stairs to her room and locked it. she cried her heart out for a few hours and then calmed a little.

she still had so many unanswered questions which she wanted to ask from her mother and her father.

meanwhile sana and rubyjane were crying their hearts out because they thought they lost their sister and daughter respectively.

jen never thought that the first day of her career would be so disastrous. Her life has literally turned upside down.

she loves her mother and sister way too much and that is why it hurts her more that they kept her away from the truth.
