The Creature

Testing #1.2

The scientist watched him for a little bit longer before finally saying something.

"I'm going to run beside you as a pace."He stood next to the creature before counting them both down. "..1..go!" he then began to run beside Nyer at his speed. He was keeping up very easily, but it was clear he wanted to see everything that the hybrid could do. The scientist noticed that the hybrid wasn't speeding up nor slowing down but was keeping the same pace as him.
"I'm going to be watching you very closely so don't you dare take it easy on me, or you will be punished for wasting our time." He spoke with a threatening tone. The hybrid then pouted as it rolled its eyes and ran past the scientist, before the scientist could reach the first lap or running the hybrid had already passed the scientist 5 different times. Once DC finished his first lap he got Nyer to walk over to him, Nyer did as instructed and walked over to the scientist. The scientist now seemed to be impressed by him, he hummed whilst scanning the creatures face. "I'm curious, what's your fastest speed?"

"Too small.." it mumbled quietly. Speaking for the first time.

"What was that?" He seemed to be paying more attention to him now, it was clear he had a new found curiosity and interest in the Hybrid. Nyer stayed silent. "I said, what's your fastest speed?" the scientist asked again.

"Too..small..room.." he spoke through his broken english, his unknown thick accent followed his words as he spoke. He was good at understanding English, but he wasn't great at speaking it.

The scientist looked down at him and sighed.
"Of course it's small, it's a test room.. what did you expect?"
He then held his head up high, seeming to be annoyed by everything that the Hybrid had been saying to him. "So what's your fastest speed? Or should I not even ask anymore ?"he asked with raised eyebrows. Nyer shrugged his shoulders in response. The scientist stared at him for a little bit, wanting to know the answer to his own question. He then looked around the room for a little bit, like he was tim deep thought.
"Wait, how about this..? If you run as fast as you can and beat me to the end of the room, I'll see your full speed and I won't force you to run anymore tests." He seemed proud of himself, with an almost smug look on his face. Nyer scanned the scientists face, squinting his eyes before nodding slightly, approving of the deal.

The scientist was smiling now, it seemed he had found a way to get the Hybrid to work for him. His smug look only grew bigger on his face. "Good, now, I want you to run as fast as you can. Don't stop until I say stop." He started to back away from him, but still holding eye contact with Nyer as he backed up. Nyer nodded at his response, waiting for his cue.

The scientist had now backed away completely, leaving the Hybrid alone in the room. He closed the door behind him, and stood there holding his clipboard, looking through the small window in the door frame. He then began to speak again. "Let's see your full speed, Hybrid."

As soon as Nyer heard that he got ready and ran as fast as he could, at his top speed, he was running so fast that his feet were leaving skid marks on the grass ground, causing dents in it.

The scientist stared at the creature through the door window with a serious look on his face, he didn't want to miss this. DC looked down to his clipboard for a second to make a note, he then looked up and couldn't see the hybrid, he was confused but just waited a bit, 'maybe he's hiding' he thought to himself. "It's been a minute, he should be here now.. I mean, if my notes on his speed are correct.." He stayed serious and didn't move, but it was clear he was getting excited now. This hybrid was proving to be interesting to him.
"Come on, you little.." He mumbled as he tried to search for the hybrid through the small glass frame in the door. He sighed in annoyance, he seemed to be waiting for too much longer than he thought he would have too.

Something, or, someone, tapped him on the shoulder.
