The Dangerous Alpha's Little Mate

Today being Sunday I woke up a bit late. Everything was going as usual like any other day, except I didn't have to go to school today. And one more thing, today is my birthday. The day that will determine my future. I'm scared, I know I shouldn't be, but my self-esteem is too low to be excited about finding my mate. And my family has no interest in my mate. Well, talking about my family they don't care what I would do in my life. And I don't have any friends to share my problem with, wait I do have a friend now and I am glad about that. I would like to think that it's the beginning of something good in my life.
I got in the shower and got ready for today's chores. Weekends are killing but I don't have a choice. I started with cleaning, dusting, sweeping, and mopping. Everyone is sleeping right now so it's easy to work. It took me 1 and a half hours to finish with the cleaning. Then I decided it was time for breakfast. I hurriedly prepared it cause I could hear that everyone was up. Soon we all sat and dug in. They were still mocking me for my hair and all, but I stayed silent. After they got up and left the dining room I washed the dishes and got their clothes to wash. It was not that difficult with the help of the washing machine. When I was done with the clothes I checked the fridge for the ingredients. I started making lunch and when I was almost done with the lunch I heard my brother walking in the kitchen I didn't dare to turn back and take a look. I didn't want to get beaten on my birthday so I pretended to be stirring the curry. In a few seconds he was gone, I guess he was taking something from the fridge.
After 10 minutes I called them for lunch, and they came in seconds. After serving them I sat down and ate in silence. I'm trying my best not to make any mistakes that get me in any trouble. Because I want to go to the forest today. I have a gut feeling that something good is going to happen today. And I also want to spend some time alone in the nature. That's why I'm doing every chore so they don't accuse me of being lazy. I'm planning on sneaking out of the house. After 3 pm is a perfect time for going into the forest. There would be no one to disturb me. So I waited for my parents to get busy in watching movies and my brother in his room doing whatever. I just hope they don't find out. I know they don't care where I go, they just want all the chores done. And to be honest I'm glad for that today. They didn't even wish me for my birthday, and I know they remember. They just want to hurt me more by pretending that they forgot, to let me know that I'm not worth their wishes.
              So I cleaned the kitchen again and ran to the upstairs to get ready for my birthday. It's not something very special, just a plain white shirt and a skinny black jeans. I styled my hair and grabbed my phone. And I also took a novel to read while listening to songs through my headphones. Then I checked the time, it was 2:55. I was ready to go. I tiptoed through the hall and tried to make less noise. As soon as I reached the door I opened it and ran like crazy. I stopped when I came to the forest. Moving further into it I felt how fresh and relaxing it was. I am glad I brought my novel, I have been waiting to read it. And today seems to be a perfect day for that. Soon I found a spot and sat down there. the breeze made me inhale deep. I came into the forest after a long time. maybe approx  2 months. Right now I just want to chill and relax to forget about my miserable life. I put on my headphones and began reading the novel. I was so captivated by the novel and music that I didn't notice the fragrant pine and sandalwood scent. Not even the approaching footsteps.

The day started as usual except for my brother cause today is Sunday. And he's sleeping a little bit longer. When I got downstairs Elijah greeted me. I have told him an awful amount of times not to greet me, but he's adamant about doing so. I asked "How are you, man doing well? You ain't grumpy today. " he said" You are the grumpy one. And I'm doing well." when we were done with breakfast with my family, we got in my office. With Elijah closely following behind. The amount of paperwork always amazes me. Despite my daily attention it still piles up on my desk. What can I say, it's the consequence of having the largest pack. But I'm happy that I'm able to manage this pack. I started with the paperwork with the help of Elijah of course. It took approx 3 hours to get all the work done. And then we discussed about that Steve boy. I'm so eager to punish him for what he did to my pack member. We concluded that we should send a letter to his alpha about this matter. I respect others that's why I want to officially send a letter to enquire whether he knew about this case or not. I'm maybe powerful but that doesn't give me the right to barge in someone else's territory and disrespect another alpha. As long as I can maintain peace I will do my best to not to cross the line. So I sent a letter addressing the neighboring pack alpha through my warrior.Elijah left my office after few minutes cause he has to run some errands for his mother.
    I stayed in my office for a while then headed to my brothers room which is upstairs at
the left wing.
     I knocked on the door and in seconds the door flew open. And there stood Daniel smiling at me like he won a prize. He pulled me in and sat me down on his bed. I looked around and surprisingly his room was very clean. I was shocked. I turned around and raised my brow at him in question. He rolled his eyes and said "what, I knew you would come that's why I cleaned it. I don't want to get nagged by you. I ruffled his hair and smiled. Soon we were playing games which mostly I was winning while he was pouting like a baby. I just chuckled at his childishness and pinched his cheek. I spent almost 2 hours with Daniel playing and chit chatting then we got downstairs. Our parents were sitting at the dining table waiting for us.  We sat down on are seats, and let me tell you the lunch was delicious, I just love my mothers cooking. After lunch I entered my room and as soon as I turned around I saw a box on my desk. That's when I remembered that I have ordered something. I don't even know why I bought this in the first place. It just happened to catch my eye when I was scrolling through the shopping app. My wolf Xavier started whining to take this with me. I agreed and put it in my pocket and left the room, for pack training field. When I reached there all pack members greeted me, which I acknowledged with nodding. I watched the warriors teaching the new kids. I was impressed by the way they were learning fast. A few minutes later I left the field and headed towards the forest. It calms my mind walking through the trees inhaling the refreshing air. As I was nearing the clearing I was hit with a mind-blowing fragrance apple pie and cinnamon both my favorites. I fasten my pace in the direction of the scent and when I got to the end of the clearing I froze........
