During the drive back home, Satoru and Chloe conversed and talked with eachother quite a bit, the radio was also on. The two had shared quite a few things about eachother that they didn't before.
Chloe had told Satoru a bit about the cardinal world without saying it was from the cardinal world.

During these talks, Satoru got sharp pains from time to time, but nothing too bad.
These headaches vanished nearly right after, replacing themselves with a blurry image.

Satoru had also shared a little bit about his stab wound and Chloe hat it healed incredibly quickly.
Chloe at first didn't find anything weird about laying in the hospital for only a day after being stabbed, but she had heard that wounds not even half that deep sometimes took weeks of recovery for these humans and that's when she became suspicious.

Chloe was thinking so hard that it seemed her thoughts would jump out of her head, Satoru noticed this and said "Don't think too much on how I recovered so fast, since you saved me, I'm probably obligated to show you this.
Just lift my shirt please."
Chloe didn't hesitate even a second on accepting what sounded like an invitation.

When she pulled up his shirt, she noticed the bandages wrapping around him and asked "I thought you were fully healed?"
"I am, these are just in case, unwrap them if you will." Chloe once again pulled the bandages off and admired the sleek but bulky enough muscles.
She the noticed the blue patch on his skin and poked it, her finger went inside of it and she played around a bit.
Her shock was visible and Satoru pulled his shirt back down "I know, it's weird, ever since I got stabbed it's been like this and it's slowly growing, just yesterday it was 1/10 smaller than it is currently."

Chloe was disappointed at not being able to witness Satoru's amazing muscles anymore, but this did jump start her brain.
She started thinking about multiple possibilities and options and she then asked "Did you hear a voice in your head after being stabbed?"
Satoru found the question weird and said "Yeah, it took a while, but after it was gone, I was in the hospital, I also heard that same voice just recently."
Chloe was surprised at hearing that her heard it twice that quickly after eachother.

The entore way home, Chloe took in the view and kept thinking about what could have happened with Satoru after he was stabbed, maybe a mistake by the Voice of the World, but she doubted it, it was probably Rimuru's doing as well, knowing that something horrible might happen and that his past self needed to be strong enough to solve it.
"What did the course tell you the second time?"
Satoru looked uncomfortable but still answered "That it would take two months for something, so I'm guessing it's gonna take two months for this blue sludge to encompass my entire being."
Chloe nodded and looked away again.

The next morning, Satoru had just woken up and looked in the mirror, his eyes had turned into a golden color overnight and he could sense the entire house without even seeing it.
He also felt a massive pressure from the couch where Chloe was sleeping.
He looked at her sleeping figure and said "Yep, it's time to change locations, the apartment can't hold both of us."

Satoru went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast while playing with his senses, he could increase and decrease the radius, but the bigger the blurrier and the smaller the more accurate.
He noticed that if his radius was massive than his sclera would also turn golden and if it decreased then hsi eyes would revert to normal.

After breakfast was finished he woke up Chloe and nearly received a punch to the face, his new senses had allowed him to dodge the punch, which was good, since the wall behind him was destroyed, it was only the storage room and nothing else was damaged, but a punch thrown by a sleeping person destroying a wall is nearly unthinkable.

Chloe sat up and rubbed her tired eyes, even half a week after exiting the war and she was still exhausted. The fatigue built up during the war was too much for a couple night of sleep to deal with.
