This place looks like a clinic says foxtrot. Exactly, the theme park is hidden under ground I say. Are you sure? he whines. I'm sure I say. Oh look there's no line I say. He gets out and I follow. It would be a bad idea to tell him I won't be able to go down there with him. I take his hand and lead him twords the clinic. I walk in and a fennec fox is behind the counter. He looks surprised that I'm here and makes a quick call on his radio. A fox comes out of no where. Foxtrot is thankfully distracted and is looking around. Which means he's calm. He let go of my hand when we walked in. We only serve predators says the fox. I know, I'm just here to drop him off I say gesturing twords foxtrot. I won't be staying I say. What!? Yelps Foxtrot. I have therapy I say. Oh right, I forgot about that he says. You'll enjoy this I promise I say. How long until you come back? he asks. Two hours I say. He nods and walks over to the desk. So you and him are...? asks the fox. We're engaged I say. Oh wow, Ummm congratulations he says. I nod and leave. Ever since I got his collar off, he's been reluctant to leave my side. This will be good for him. He also finds my therapy sessions rather boring. He isn't aloud in the room since he's a predator, I hate that rule. Even the therapist finds it crazy that my fiance can't be in the room with me.
I walk into my therapists room and sit down. Are you talking to your boyfriend? she asks noticing that I'm on my phone. Fiance now I say automatically. Congratulations she says. Thanks I say looking up. Do you want a few more minutes to talk to foxtrot or are you ready to begin? she asks. I'm ready I say putting my phone away. We've covered all the surface level stuff but how about something deep says my therapist. I nod. You said something happened when you were a kid? she inquiries. I nod again. May I know what happened? she asks. My uncle, he, he I stutter. It's alright, take your time she says. I nod and curls up into a little ball on the couch. He used me as a toy I mummble. She nods and writes something down. For his, his pleasure I continue. She nods and gives me a sympathetic look. You don't have to tell me anything else if you aren't comfortable she says. I nod and look away. Maybe talk to your fiance about what happed she says. I nod and look at her. The only thing you need to know is that you were a kid and it wasn't your fault she says. I nod and smile a bit.
...foxtrot pov....
This place is amazing! I take a few pictures to show Milo later. I know now that he isn't allowed here but maybe looking at a few pictures of what it looks like will help him not feel left out. Hello says a voice. When I turn a lion standing behind me. What's your name? asks the lion. Foxtrot I say. Cool name, I'm Diego says the lion. Your name is cool too I say. Thanks, but can I ask what your doing? asks Diego. Oh, I'm taking pictures to show my fiance I say. How come she isn't here? asks Diego. They and they had therapy I say. Oh, sorry says Diego. Once their session is finished, they'll come pick me up I say. Diego nods before another lion screams at him to hurry up. I've got to go says Diego. I nod and he runs off. My phone beeps and I look down at it. They texted, the love of my life has texted me. "Therapy ended early, getting lunch for us, be there in about thirty minutes" they text. "Alrighty" I text back. I have time to go on another ride! The small ferris wheel, no line, lasts quite awhile. I walk over and I'm ushered into a empty one. Milo sends me a picture of the menu, followed by "what do you want." "Sushi" I text back. "Same" they reply. I look around and take in the walls, painted to look like a savannah, rides with pictures on them, the lights you would see in a school, hang from the ceiling.
I rush past the lines and bolt out of the exit. Milo is standing there, holding our lunch. I walk over and hug them. Why don't you cuddle me while we eat lunch they whisper. I nod and let go of them. Milo? I say. They look up at me with a tired smile. I took a video for you I say. I'll watch it while we eat they say. I nod and get into the car. They sit in the driver seat as they open the bag of food. What was the point of bringing the food to the clinic? I ask. I forgot to let go of it they say with a sigh. They sound stressed and tired. Love, is everything ok? I ask. Sigh. My therapist wants me to talk to you about...my past they mutter. I wouldn't mind listening to you vent and we can do that when you feel comfortable I say. They nod as they begin to eat.
