She squirmed with all she had, and she really needed to get back into shape, as the Myling hissed and growled. She tried to grab her knife but it seized it before she could and tossed it away. She lost it near the parking lot of the motel. It dragged her back to the park, probably where it wished to kill her. She tried kicking at it, but it got angry and this time it twisted her ankle enough to sound a snap. She screamed in pain while the baby smiled.
She groaned as it dropped her now bad foot on the hard ground. "Carry me!" It demanded. She grunted as she sat up," You broke my ankle! I can't carry you!" but couldn't argue more as it looked a few seconds away from killing her then and there. She bit her lip as she got up, wobbling before she steadied herself. She knew her ankle would take about a few weeks to heal, if she lived that is.
She hissed as it climbed onto her back, it was very heavy. It felt heavier than the lore made it seem, or maybe that's because of her ankle. Heaving a great sigh, she forced herself to walk, painful as it was, and hoped that Dean would salt and burn its remains before she fell.
She walked on, tears in her eyes. It was sitting on her back, and her back was not pleased in the slightest. The wounds from yesterday were screaming, still not fully healed. Between her foot and her back, she could barely focus on the direction she was going. She knew she was vaguely facing the cemetery though.
It was barely ten minutes before her body was shaking. Fear kept her upright but she knew it was only a matter of time before the adrenaline failed to keep her body strong enough. It did grow heavier, which made her back worse. She was silently cursing it as she trudged forward. It was still hissing in her ear, making her shiver.
She still had some hope that Dean had an idea of where it laid. But as ten minutes grew to fifteen, she began to feel doomed. Her feet stumbled a few times, scaring her to walk straighter. Just as she felt confident in walking, her leg nearly slipped from under her. She gasped as she quickly stopped her fall, the Myling growled warningly in her ear.
She began to cry silently, she wasn't even halfway there. She was gonna die. It seemed to realize her thoughts as it bared its teeth menacingly as a promise of, not if, when she fell it would have horrendous consequences. Just as she hit eighteen minutes, and a moment more from collapsing, she heard it.
A grin climbed on her face, hearing that car rumble her way. She couldn't help but start laughing. The Myling seemed confused, looking at her. A shot rang out and the Myling screamed. The weight on her back disappeared, causing her to finally fall. Tires squealed to a stop as the driver's door was thrown open.
Dean kept his gun aimed at the creature as he sidestepped toward her. The Myling hissed, recovering but now enraged. Dean sneered in return as he fired again, the monster screeched and retreated. She was busy catching her breath, laying on her stomach to avoid agitating her back more.
He bent down to help her sit up, eyes darting back to where he'd last seen the melted mass of what was once a baby. "It broke my ankle." Dean looked at her in surprise," You walked on it?!" She huffed a laugh," I had to." He nodded before tucking the gun away and picked her up, to which she yelped in surprise.
"Right, well. I got some good news and some bad news." Dean started as he walked to the passenger side. She groaned," Please tell me you know where it is." He set her down on the seat before grimacing. She growled," Fuck." He nodded in agreement, they needed those remains.
Dean quickly hopped into his seat," On the other hand I know the area of where it might be." She looked at him," Might?" a bit disheartened. He sighed," Yeah, but it's better than nothing right now." She agreed as she sat back and relaxed. The Myling really wore her out. The drive back to the room didn't take long, as her injured ankle slowed her from walking far, not to mention how it sat on her already injured back.
