Chapter 45

Gwen's POV:

I looked at Bonnie, horrified and angry.

I brought my hand to my growing belly and thought of my baby to calm me down.

"Are you sure this is what you remember, petit?" I asked her.

"I'm sure," she responds. "It came to me when I was looking after Belle and Aiden for you."

I need to calm down. I can't have the baby sense any negative energy in or around me.

"We're going to see Carson now. Wake up Belle and Aiden, please."

Bonnie nods, showing a little fear and runs to wake up the other two rascals.

Josh's POV:

I miss my baby sister. I hope she's okay. I hope she regained some of her memories.

I looked at Hannah, who was on the other side of the commander's tent.

I miss you, too.

I want to pull you close to me and just hold you forever. Dammit.

I heard a deep sigh come from our leader, and then Lexi and Liam slowly walked out of the commander's tent.

Liam stays quiet and stands next to me.

His eyes showed pure sadness. It looked as if he aged a bit.

"Let's go," Lexi sadly smiles.

I look at Hannah, who's looking back at me. She sadly smiles at me then follows her best friend.

Hannah's POV:

Josh.

I sadly smiled at him, then followed Lexi to the hospital tents.

I wish I had more time with you.

I wish once this is over, we're still standing, so I can sleep next to you like those nights before and after the Sins Invasion.

A silent tear slides down my face and Lexi took notice.

She turns around and wipes it off. "Worry about yourself. I won't let anything happen to anyone anymore, especially the boys," she says.

I nod and continue following her.

Liam's POV:

I stayed behind with Josh for a bit.

The lions, lionesses, and wolves came from beside the hospital tents to following Lexi and Hannah.

All I could do was wait and hope the plan pulls through.

Me and Josh just stay quiet. No words, no exchanged looks, nothing.

We were cracking jokes during hunts with Lexi and the rest of us.

Now we're losing our friends, one by one.

I look up to see Lexi wiping a tear from Hannah's face and she says something to her.

How are you staying strong? Most of us have gone insane. Most of us are done fighting. Most of us have given up.

I looked at Josh for a second then followed Lexi and Hannah to the hospital tents. I heard Josh's feet scuffle on the ground, then they began to follow me.

Danny's POV:

I was sitting in the back of my second period, with Jesse on my right and Phil on my left. We were talking about how Liam had a crush on a girl named Lexi DeFleur.
