Kite's POV:

Belle calmed down a few minutes ago. She's just sitting on my couch, with her dog Ellie on her lap.

Liam's sitting next to Belle, but he's just staring out of space.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna go feed the lions, do you wanna come with me?" I asked Liam and Belle. Liam didn't move, he just kept staring out of nowhere.

Belle however, her expression changed from grim to sparkly. "Is it okay if I bring Ellie too?" Belle asked with a little bit of hope in her voice.

I smile and nod, and there were stars shining in Belle's eyes.

"Are you going to be okay here, Liam?" Belle asked Liam.

Liam looked up at Belle and gave her a smile. "Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm just gonna rest here."

"Alright. Let's go Kite!" Belle said as she ran out of my house with Ellie in her arms. I walked out of my house and closed the door.

Belle was already halfway towards the garage. Goddamn, she's like her aunt when it comes to running, I thought. I smiled and chuckled at the thought.

I ran inside the garage to see Ellie slowly walking behind Belle, and Belle slowly walking towards the lions.

Luckily, the big cats didn't do anything. Belle slowly took her hand out from her side and slowly put it near one of the lion's head. My heart started beating loud as a drum that I think Ellie heard it.

When Belle's hand finally reached the lion's head, the lion purred. The lion gave Belle a big cat smile and Belle giggled. Ellie whimpered and ran up to Belle's leg. Then Belle picked up Ellie and held Ellie in front of the lion's face. Ellie whimpered again, but the lion licked Ellie's face, which made me laugh.

Belle put Ellie down and stroked the lion's head. Now the rest of the lions stood on all fours and walked slowly to Belle. The lionesses circled around Belle and laid back down, as if they're allowing Belle to lay down on their backs. Then the lions walked towards Belle and they each licked her face, which made her giggle a lot.

This made me smile. Like some people say, it's the little things that count.

Josh's POV:

"You can see Lexi now," the doctor said. Hannah, Chelsea, Olive, Danny, Jesse, Phil, and I just rushed past the doctor and into Lexi's room.

When we went into Lexi's hospital room, Lexi looked so pale.

Her body was clean from the blood and was now covered with white bandage wraps and hospital shorts. Her hair was everywhere all over the pillows. A little bit of blood was visible through the bandage wraps, but at least the bleeding stopped.

Lexi's swords and her combat knife were placed by a little table by the hospital bed. Her clothes weren't bloody anymore, washed and neatly folded on another little table by the bed.

Now that I see it, Lexi looks a little bit skinnier and smaller than I remember.

When she wakes up, we're going to have a serious talk about eating a little more and taking more breaks from hunting and training.

The girls ran to one side of the bed and the guys on the other. I stood nearest to Lexi's head. I placed my hand on her head and my thumb lightly glided over her forehead.

Hannah held her hand close to her cheek. "Her hand is cold," Hannah said.

"Don't worry, she's fine. She'll wake up soon," Phil said. The twins sat on the bed, then laid on Lexi's lap. I'm surprised that Lexi didn't wake up.
