"Wake up.. Wake up.." murmured the voices into Xur's head, as he felt the tap of a flowing cold air on his shoulder, but something about it just didn't seem right. It didn't feel natural. He heard no rain, no storm, just a very quiet space. With his eyes half awake, all around him seemed blurred and dimmed. The impact of the power he unleashed at the base and the concussion he received clearly took a toll on him, headaches still remained and his vision was all jarred. "Woeful territory.. Woeful.." murmured the voices once more. Xur dug his hands inside his kraken face to scratch his eyes from all the exhaustion. He reopened them wide and his vision slowly got better over time. "Where am I?" He whispered to himself.
The Jovian found himself inside a confined, orange room. On his left was an orange wall with a tiny ventilation circle at the top. Looking to his right was a green tinted-glass where he could see two slender Cabal units with hunchbacks and long arms wearing all-white suits with round goggles on and gas masks through the glass. Perhaps they were scientists of sorts, studying an enigma. Xur got up on his feet to have a better look. He pressed his hand onto the glass wall and observed the hunchback Cabal units fiddling with their microcomputers that are attached to their arms. "You there! Where the hell am I?" Exclaimed the Jovian with his raspy voice. The scientists stopped their fiddling, looked up to Xur as he anxiously stood there waiting for an answer. Not a single word exhaled out of their mouths and continued their use of their micro computers. "I am asking a question." Said the Jovian as he started slamming the glass wall with his fists and tentacles. One of the scientists walked to the mainframe computers at the end of the room. "What is this place? WHERE IS PRIMUS KAL-" Xur was interrupted by a strong, electrifying surge that flowed around the wall. He was stunned by the sudden shock that coursed through his body, causing him to fall back to the ground. It was clear to Xur that he wasn't really treated like a threat, but like a lab guinea pig. It angered him and fueled his reactive body.
As the Jovian was shaking his head from the hazardous electric shock of the glass wall, a static radio sound emitted from the end of the contained room that lasted a moment. Xur looked for the source until he glanced at the small, rectangle shaped speaker at the top edge of the room. A deep, thunderous voice was heard right after the static sound. A loud dominant voice. A voice of authority. The voice of a leader.
"You should not be touching that glass if you know what is good for you." Said the voice through the comms.
"Who is this? Why am I here?" Exclaimed Xur with a few grunts from the pain caused by the electrifying wall.
"I am the one you're looking for.. Of course, that is what I would assume from a person who attacks my own men. Isn't that right? So tell me this, because I want to know. I am feared for good reason. What exactly went through your pathetic brain when you've come to invade my camp? " He asked with a much angrier tone that showed how confused he was by the entire incident. Xur remained silent for a moment, wondering who he could be talking to.
"It's you, isn't it? You are Kalris." Said Xur with both of his hands clenching in anger.
"Ahh.. So you do know who I am. Well, this is getting interesting."
"I do know you. You are the dog that killed my entire tribe.. My family. You will pay for what you did to them all."
"I have slaughtered many foes in my time. A mere tribe is hardly something I would remember." He replied with a condescending tone.
"You bastard! You're the reason why they're all gone. You're the reason why I turned into.. this. I have come to find you and make you answer for what you did to my people." Exclaimed Xur in a loud yet sad tone. The Primus went silent only for a moment after what the Jovian said. He could have killed the Jovian on the spot. However, he realized that the long journey Xur took to hunt him down was something that peaked his interest. His quest was no easy one. Perhaps the Primus wanted something from him. Whether it's exposing his enigmatic powers, or maybe he honors his sheer determination.
